3RD JULY 2002

What a great start to the day.... I got to sleep in without being nagged about it AND my wonderful 9 year old grandson Jared made me toast and coffee and brought it through to the bedroom for me.
This is his first ever attempt at making either of the above. He brought through the first slice of toast and asked me how 'well toasted' I like it.....
It was BLACK!!! *S*
The second try was perfect <GRIN>

At the moment... 10:30 in the morning...
I hope to look forward to the best present of all.
Jason promised that Chantal would take the cat today..
Lord, I hope so!!

Yesterday, Mum came through and asked me to go through to the kitchen to see 'something'...
the blasted cat was on the middle of the table... feet in the flowers I have in the centre,
and was hanging from the light pendant!!!!!! The vase tipped over....

Jason had my camera... damn.... I knew he wouldn't believe me.

This is the light fitting she was swinging from. It was lowered of course *S*
Geez... Smudge, our poor lost Devon Rex never did stuff like this! I think this one... Buffy (Vampire Slayer) knows that it ticks me off... so is hell bent on making me angry all the time *S*

Got these beautiful Faes from Mum... I just love them!!

The flowers behind are from Jared *S*

As for Jason.... well.... he just left (12:15pm) with Jared.. not so much as a "Happy Birthday Mum.." and I thought he'd changed.... Dream on Jamie!!
He's 32 years old and NEVER remembers BUT today there was no excuse... he couldn't help overhearing Jared wishing me Happy Birthday or seeing the Faes and flowers. That's O.K.... I'll 'forget' to invite him out for dinner tonight... we're going Chinese (my favourite). We have a great Chinese Restaurant here in Hervey Bay... I love their food.

Saturday 20th July

Here I go again... taxing my memory LOL!! For those of you interested... NO, Jason didn't remember my Birthday! His memory was jogged when he helped unload the shopping and spied a cake...He turned up the next day with a bottle of my favourite wine, cheeses, pate etc., and Chantal in tow.
Big Deal!
I mean how hard is it to remember that my Birthday is the day BEFORE American Independence Day??? HUH???

I never get the chance to forget his...
there's always something he needs.End of subject!********

Jared was off school for 3 weeks (holidays) but he ended up going back to school for a few days during the hols. They had outings, campfire cooking etc., and his Dad was too busy so instead of being stuck with a couple of fuddie-duddies (Mum and I) all the time he spent a few days with kids his own age. He was selective about which days he'd go *S*We got rid of the cat! YIPPEE!!

Chantal got herself an apartment... the cat joined her the next day *S* She's tried to talk Jared into taking the cat back, but he won't be swayed... I love that kid!!Now that she has the apartment we hardly see Jason at night. I had to tell him that he's not single and carefree... he has a son who needs his attention!

Jared finally spent time with his brother, Hayden, twice during the holdays. (It's been over a year... kinda hard to believe when the live 10 minutes from each other!! )Jared gave up phoning his Mum and asking if he could spend time with his brother... he kept getting rejected.... Anyway, he had one day with his Mother (she took him with her while she was doing the week's grocery shopping) and two days the next weekend when he and Hayden spent the weekend with their Dad (and Chantal) which I thought it was a great idea!! *S*
So did the kids *SSSSSS*Goodness.. for 2 days the house stayed spick and span, it was great!

30th July 2002

We've had no rain for weeks, I can't believe the weather. We had a couple of weeks when it was cold during the night and since then it's been like Spring which isn't supposed to be here until the end of August. I can see we'll be in for another HOT Summer.... damn!!!

Jared phoned his Mum to ask what time he should go over on Saturday. (She promised that he could go over to her place this weekend). She told him she was 'working' (that's a joke) and he couldn't go. He ended his phone conversation with her saying "Love you!!"
and as soon as he hung up he said "NOT!!"I feel so sorry for him where she's concerned. BUT she's going to be the one who's sorry when he grows up, he's not going to forget the constant rejection.

This hasn't been a very "Newsy" month...sorry.I haven't been much in the mood for anything and feel so totally guilty about not keeping in touch with you all lately. I've been feeling 'down' with my hands and feet problems, I've never felt so lousy in my entire life. Even when I was worn out looking after George, once I had a good night's sleep everything seemed better. This never gets any better. Some mornings I can hardly get out of bed and once I do.... I have to sit in a chair until 'gravity' sets in before I can even walk through to the kitchen for my morning coffee. My feet feel like I'm walking on stumps. Some days I can't even use the computer because my hands are so swollen.

I have a specialist appointment coming up on the 19th of August... Lord, I hope he can help. Doesn't matter what medication I take.... nothing works. On that note I'll finish for this month and hope that next month will be better.I'll have some photos next month *S*May the Lord protect you all.HugsJamie
