I've been making a lot of biscuits (cookies) and cakes these days, been a long time since I did any home baking... trouble is they don't last long *S*
This household has a VERY sweet tooth.
Jason hasn't been making many meals these days either.

I bought the stuff for dinner last night thinking Jason was going to cook dinner since it was my Birthday, but he took so long getting around to it, I had it already made when he dragged himself away from his computer.:-( It worked out better because there was less mess for Mum to clean up.... when Jason cooks.... all the things he uses are left to be washed after dinner... I wash as I go.

A very quiet Birthday this year... Jason forgot as usual.
Doesn't bother me any more... just like any other day. Guess I should be forgetting it myself from now on (grin)

Jared has just been up to the local shopping mall and seen every store manager asking for a job!! Bless him *S*
He also went to a carpet place across the road from us... they took his phone number.... they might get him to do vacuuming once a week!
They were impressed with his initiative!!
He's not 11 until September!
He's a good little worker.... when there's money at the end of it *S*
AND he's VERY determined.


Thursday 31st July (3:00am!!)

Haven't had a lot of spare time up my sleeve lately, I get no help from Jason
around the house or garden so I have to do it all myself. My mother gets attacked
by mosquitoes... and I hear about it, over and over again. So I'd rather work by myself. Mind you there's not a lot of mozzies around seeing it's the middle of winter... but those that are... manage to find my mother!

What is it with some men???
They have no idea how to pick up after themselves!!!!
Everything is left where they last used it for 'stupid' to pick up or wash up.
I'm sick of seeing lunch dishes in the sink... unwashed..
they weren't brought up to be lazy!!

I'm not in a very good mood.... Can you tell????
I really shouldn't be writing this until it improves, but hey... if I wait that long..
it'll never get written!!


AUGUST

AUGUST .... where did it go????
Can't remember too much of what happened except I had computer problems and personal problems... not my health.. it's fine.

As you can see, I didn't have time to fill in the Journal..
We had the PSP classes start and there was a lot of work to be done before they began. We have a wonderful group of people in the ARTISTRY IN PSP ~MASTERS!!
Got so many volunteers to be Moderators for the classes.
Never would have coped without them.

The co-owner of the group decided to leave... no matter how I tried, she just wouldn't be swayed to stay. I'll miss her, but like I said I have lots of helpers who jump in at the 'drop of a hat'.

The weather has been WONDERFUL... cool!! Around the 22 to 26 degree mark each day. What a change from other years... I've seen it hit over 30 at the end of August and stay they way until May. Looks like we might be a little lucky this year.

Mum had her 78th Birthday on the 15th of August. It's so hard to believe she's almost 80. She doesn't seem any different to me than she did 20 years ago. She gets angina attacks... especially when it's really cold but she'd rather have the cold than the heat. SO WOULD I !!!!

Jared has become great friends with one of the kids who moved into the house behind us... he climbs on the dog kennel and hops the fence every afternoon.
They're nice kids... very well mannered.

His other Grandma is away so his brother isn't as accessible to play with when he'sat home with his mother. Jared rang one Friday night and asked if he could go over to spend some time with Hayden on the Saturday. She (his mother) made some paltry excuse and refused. (BITCH!!!)

So, the next weekend Jared didn't ring first.... he just turned up.... that way she couldn't send him away. Smart kid my grandson *S*

Can't remember much else that happened in August except...
Pauline Hanson, one of our politicians was sentenced to 3 years in jail for failing to register her political party correctly way back in 1998 (I think). The other political parties have been 'out to GET her' ever since she started in politics. She's the first politician who tells it like it is.

What I'd like to know is.... why didn't the department which handles the registration of political parties let Pauline Hanson know at the time that there was an error made in filling out the forms?????
Why weren't they checked at the time???

If Pauline Hanson had registered in any other state but Queensland she would have got a fine and been sent on her way. BUT this state is so bloody pedantic!
Paedophiles get a shorter sentence!! THREE YEARS for filling out a form incorrectly!!
Give me a break!!

Pardon the language.... but they (the NSW Government) screwed me out of $300,000 by foul means and no-one would help me. They wanted our money and nothing was going to stand in their way!! So I know exactly what Pauline Hanson is going through. I went through stages of contemplating suicide and even murder. Fortunately when I considered the latter I was 1320km away from the proposed victim BUT if I had been in Sydney at that time.... I would be in jail today!

One of our Prime Minister's head honchos started up a fund to make sure she was pushed out by fair means or foul. Of course "Honest John".. knew nothing about it! Liar!! Just like he didn't know about our ex Governor General and the paedophile priests under his control. Just like the lie he told when he said children were thrown overboard from the Tampa... the refugee boat, a couple of years ago. Just like the lie he told when he said none of those people on the Tampa would ever set foot on Australian soil.... a whole group of them 14, were flown to Australia this week and given refugee status.

This country really makes me sick sometimes. Our government is full of crooked politicians who get away with murder (almost). They don't care about the people... they only care about themselves.

Another prime example is one Minister, Amanda Vanstone who is in charge of pensions amongst other things. Apparently the department in charge of doling out the Aged pension has made mistakes in payments given. Of course they are so efficient the errors were not noticed for years. When they were discovered... the Pensions office has demanded that these elderly people pay back sums like $25,000 to over $50,000 NOW!! If they haven't got these sorts of funds then Ms. Vanstone would have no qualms about forcing them to sell their homes to cover the debt!! This is an error the GOVERNMENT
made... not the pensioners! They were such 'piddling' amounts monthly... but when added up over 8 to 10 years... they mount up.

Well... there's been an uproar!! One of our talk-back radio hosts, John Laws had her on his show and he tore sheds off her. He finally got her to say that if it WAS a Government error then the pensioners would NOT be liable.... BUT it was HARD work on his part. Good on ya John!!

You know... between the wars all over the world... the earthquakes, the tornados, the floods, the fires, the mess in Iraq... the bombings in Indonesia, the threat from Korea, the corruption in our government, it makes one wonder ....
what kind of a future there is for our children and grandchildren.

It's downright DEPRESSING!!!
