Pool Construction

This page takes about 57 seconds to fully load.

Supervising the positioning of the pool

Of course I selected an area where there had originally been an enormous Ironbark tree. How was I to know?? The roots were humungous, they were as big as a tree themselves! So it took a couple of extra days to dig the hole, but as you can see they managed :-)

We seemed to be left with lots of piles of rubbish.

Couldn't complete the fence until all the construction work was done since this was the only point of entry.

Actually, there really wasn't a lot of mess left. Once the pavers were down around the pool it started to look respectable.

The whole exercise took about 3 weeks and that was only because we had a couple of lousy weather days and the extra time spent cutting through the Ironbark roots.

We were very lucky with the pool being built on a seperate block of land because that way we didn't end up with messy feet trailing dirt into the house. Now that we have grandchildren I don't know what we'd do without it.
