2015

8 OCT 2015

Another week gone and I thought we'd be working on artistrypsp.com by now but....still waiting, owing to the tardiness of outside influences.
However, I'm keeping up the hope that by the end of today (Aussie time) we'll be back to normal.
Jason is just waiting for confirmation from ENOM re the Domain transfer.

Personally haven't had a good week healthwise.
One of my twisted toes was painful and ended up swollen like a cherry.
It started bleeding so it's also dressed now along with my other unwanted ulcers.
As a result I haven't been able to sleep until I gave in and took painkillers which send me to sleep early.

LORD... I had no idea how complicated it would be to transfer a Domain Name!!!
Another week gone... numerous emails... text messages and phone calls to the U.S.A. where ENOM is located. Time differences have been a problem too.
Jason spoke (several times) to someone at ENOM yesterday and he assured him it wouldn't be much longer. Here's hoping...

Jason assures me... that once it does go through we won't experience the problems we've had over the last 2 or 3 years from the original host, always in the last quarter of each year.

22 OCT 2015

FINALLY everything is back to normal... new host and Domain Name transfer done at last.

Thank you Jason!!!

29 OCT 2015

Not feeling the best today.
Did grocery shopping yesterday and by the time I got home I was wasted.
Every joint hurt and my feet were the worst.
Needless to say I wasn't online yesterday.. took painkillers and they knocked me out.

Could barely get out of bed this morning.

5 NOV 2015

Got a great surprise this week when we received the quarterly power bill !!
It was almost $200 less than the last bill...
So... the payments for the solar panels are worthwhile.
Once they're paid for we'll be ahead for a change...WOO HOO!
Weather over here has been horrendous in different places around the country..so many storms, flooding and even tornados!! Fortunately I'm missing all of that. Don't know what it is about Hervey Bay.. we're very lucky.
Hope it continues.

12 NOV 2015

It was our turn for stormy weather this past week.... we need the rain.
What I didn't need was a clap of thunder that was so close and so loud the house shook!!
Scared the heck out of me!
Fortunately it moved away quickly.
Made me think about all the poor people in war torn areas.
It was like a bomb going off and if I had to experience that continuously,
I'd be fleeing my country too

26 NOV 2015

I was dreading Thursday coming around this week..
Reason... my friend Marg phoned me a couple of weeks ago wanting me to go to lunch.
She wouldn't take NO for an answer. We were supposed to go today.
Fortunately she made a mistake calling me yesterday to confirm and I managed to weasel
my way out! PHEW!!!

The reason I didn't want to go was because of the pain in my feet and
I can't hold a knife and fork properly making it hard to pick up food.
PLUS
I wasn't up for an hour and a half of listening all about her.
There is a God!! *S*
She also thinks internet friends don't count since you can't be face to face... silly woman!!!

Was watching the news last night about the bushfires in South Australia.
The Barossa Valley was mentioned ..90,000 hectares (223 acres) ( 347.492 square miles)
have been destroyed, people have died, homes, animals and crops have been lost.
The Barossa Valley is one of the most fertile areas in this country and our best wine producing area.

3 DEC 2015

Yep... Christmas is getting closer!!
Weather is getting warmer "dowunder"
Don't have a lot planned.
I miss having Mum and Dad around at this time of the year.
I can't do a lot of preparation because of my physical problems.
So we'll probably have a seafood lunch/dinner... YUMMMMMM!!!!
Besides it's easy to prepare and with Jason's 'fishy' background it'll take the pressure off him. *S*

10 DEC 2015

Made a mistake doing grocery shopping yesterday but I wanted to get some extras for Christmas. My feet were so damned sore by the time I finished I couldnt work up any energy to come online. I can bear the arthritis but the calluses under my toes give me Hell. Like walking on stones.

What made matters worse was that ALDI had changed the position of products since I last shopped...
so it took extra time to find what I wanted. I wasn't the only customer confused. *S*
Then, when we went to Woolworths... they too had changed things in the store.
New flashy workings at the checkout.. which is a huge improvement for the checkout operators.

This morning I checked out the Australia Post web site to see what it would cost to send Christmas Cards overseas this year. WOULD YOU BELIEVE they are charging $2.75 !!!!!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
I can't afford that on a pension!!!
They may be losing money on regular mail BUT they're making bucketloads of $$$$ from parcel deliveries (Internet orders).

Looks like I'll be using Jacquie Lawson for my overseas relatives and friends.

There's so much going on here to make this a miserable Christmas for those on tight budgets.
Of course our politicans are comfortable since they "earn" (???) mega bucks!

31 DEC 2015

What a shocking Christmas week all over the world!

Mother Nature is not happy.
Floods in England, U.S. and Australia,
Fires and Tornados in the U.S. and Australia,
the only things missing are cyclones (hurricanes).
No doubt we still have that to look forward to. :-(

So many hundreds of families world wide have lost everything this past week.
My heart breaks for them with every news report.
How do you recover from this??
If it was me... I'm too old to start over.
I pray that 2016 will be a much better year but, I'm not holding my breath.
