15 May

Don't you think this is so cute???? LOL!!
Our little TV addict who tries to touch the characters on the screen and tries to change the channel!!
Well..... it seems like he tries to change the channel....

Nope... I don't have a wide screen TV...  don't need one *S*

Next bit of news.....

I finally have an appointment with the specialist !!
By the time I see him (17th June) it will only have taken 10 months and 5 days!
Ten months of developing new symptoms that could possibly have been avoided had I seen him during the first month. I won't be happy with him, but will say nothing until I get what I want.

Finally... a friend sent me a YouTube link that I think is hilarious.
This is not meant to offend anyone. I just think this comedian is brilliant.... it wouldn't matter who he was joking about it would be funny. I've never seen him before but I'd like to see more of him, he's a HOOT!

Hey... if we can't laugh at ourselves it would be an even more miserable world...... I'm sure Obama would get a chuckle out of it.

8th JUNE

I had no phone line from midday Saturday until Tuesday afternoon last week!

The phone company told us that they don't have any technicians working over the weekend!!
The earliest for a fix would be Monday... Tuesday at the latest....

The technician who did arrive on Tuesday said it was a fault in the junction box (?) about 500 metres down the road from us. The wires are corroded and need renewing!  This was the same story we got the last time this happened around 12 to 18 months ago!! One would think they would have been fixed when the corrosion was reported the last time!

I didn't waste time while I was off the air... I created a bunch of new frame tuts which have yet to be tested. Wednesday I went through my email Optus... (around 400!!) Gmail (almost 1000 !!) so it took me ages to sort through what was important in Gmail also deleting spam and checking results in my Optus account, whittling it down to 89 emails to be downloaded..

This weekend both my wrist were giving me Hell... I think from using the mouse too much (with my right wrist). I took painkillers but they made me sleepy..... so my weekend hasn't been as productive as I hoped.

I still have the last of the flu... my voice has returned though *S* My desk looks like a pharmacy!!
Have to go to the 'blood suckers' tomorrow (Blood Test)... was going on Friday, but slept in and Jason had already gone to work... so no lift.

20 JUNE

I've been out of action for a couple of days....

I went to the specialist on Wednesday. He was horrified when he saw my hands and my psoriasis!
He couldn't believe the mess my right hand is in with the twisted fingers and how quickly ( according to him ) this has degenerated. He said that eventually I'll have to have surgery (OUCH!!!) to straighten out my fingers so I can have normal use of them. I hate hospitals!!!!!  They replace the knuckles with plastic ones!  My left hand is starting to go the same way :-(

The outcome of the appointment was....
He wouldn't prescribe the new medication my doctor had suggested. Said it would possibly cause more side effects that I could do without.

While I was there he dictated a letter to be sent to a Rheumatoid specialist in Maroochydore ( 5 hour round trip... driving) who would prescribe the HUMIRA for me. This would help the arthritis and the psoriasis. He couldn't prescribe the Humira... the government insists it be prescribed by a rheumatologist OR a dermatologist ONLY.

So, if I don't hear from the Rheumatologist in a couple of weeks I have to phone to find out when I can be seen. I'm going to call on Monday to see if they received the letter (referral) and find out how long I expect to be waiting.

At least this way I don't have to visit 2 doctors on the one day... one will take care of both problems.

Jason is happy to take me when the time comes. He's lying on the living room floor at the moment trying to get rid of his cluster headaches... we make a fine pair! NOT!

I could barely walk on Wednesday, my right ankle is giving me hell.... same on Thursday, so I spent the time in bed. Even sitting didn't help. It's still hurting right now but I can't afford to fall any further behind here in Artistry.

Then yesterday I was going to do some Artistry work.... you're not going to believe it..... my mouse died !!
I lost it! I had to give up that idea until Jason picked up a new one for me....
Jason told me to use keyboard shortcuts to turn off my computer.... right.... where are the shortcuts saved?????? on my computer!!!!  So I had to wait until he came home.... by that time I wasn't in the mood...

5 JUNE

I just rang Jason's boss to ask for his help and to take Jason to the hospital. I can't drive Jason's car... he wouldn't let me anyway.... and I need a refresher as to how to drive a manual so I can drive the car he got for Jared when Jared get's his Learner's permit.

He's been suffering this week from cluster headaches. We thought they were going yesterday... but he woke up with it this morning and has been in excruciating pain for the last 12 hours. Dale came about half an hour ago so I'm praying he doesn't have to wait too long to be attended to at the hospital.

I feel so useless not being able to help him. I told him to make an appointment with his doctor, especially to enquire about a medication that Graywolf suggested might help him,  but thinking the headaches were on their way out he said he's ask the next time he saw his doctor. KIDS!!! No matter how old they are (He's 39!) ... why don't they listen to their parents????

The people he works for treat him like family. He's so lucky they care about him so much.

I haven't been able to concentrate on much else for the last couple of days.

Catch you next month *S*
