TUESDAY 30TH MARCH

Well.... again I've been too busy to keep notes... when will I ever learn??
So... I'll have to 'wing it' and hope my memory gets jogged as I go.

I do remember that at the beginning of the month Jared and his brothers found a frilled neck lizard and as I drove up to collect Jared from Grandma Shorty... Brandon was dangling it by it's tail!! I felt so sorry for the poor creature for having fallen into the clutches of these 3 terrors. Fortunately they had already decided between themselves that Jared should take it home with him.... at least now it stood a chance of surviving.

Jared let it loose in his tree house.. it was still there later in the evening but when he
went to check on it the next day... it was nowhere to be seen. Thank God!! *S* He wanted to keep it as a pet... I said "NO!" It's a protected creature here in Australia so that idea was definitely out. AND...... we haven't spotted it since then *S*

We finally got all the garden rubbish taken to the dump and I've planted clumps of grass
where the pile lay for over a month. It was bare already from having Jason's car parked
on top of the grass.. and believe it or not.. the clumps are growing *S* I yanked out the
edges of the grass from other places in the garden and saved them for this spot. Jared
helped me when we went to the dump... he got out of the car and directed me so I wouldn't look such a fool backing up the trailer *S* He must have been grounded for some reason... or else his brothers weren't at his other grandma's that day... otherwise he wouldn't have been around to assist *S*

I've mowed twice this month... had to do a section at a time because it takes so much out of me. I need a day in between to recover. But we've had lots of rain and everything is growing rampantly. I've had to trim some of the areas I cut back last month 2 or 3 times already to keep it under control. Lord... I hate gardening now!!!!!

Mum has been in better fettle this month, I think because the temperature and humidity
have dropped. We've been under threat of 2 cyclones ... lucky for Hervey Bay the first one came in about 100km south of us and the second headed south east... away from us though we had wild winds and rain. Jared helped me put all the loose garden furniture in the garage and I'm afraid it's still there 2 weeks later :-(
Just haven't got the energy to bring it all back out.

I kept Jared off school for the day when the last one threatened... I didn't want to be
driving in it if it did hit. He was bored...bored... bored.... and a right royal pain in the butt all day.

Our first PSP Class for the year finished during the month. Boy there are a lot of talented people out there on the WWW!!! We had 14 separate groups because we had so many applicants. We were also a year old this month.... our first class last year consisted of 2 intermediate groups and 2 beginners groups.... so it looks like we must be doing something right *S* My only disappointment is.... because there are now so many students I just can't check everyone's results any more. Our Masters group has grown to 72 members from 4 original members... even though it's time consuming... I love it....

I love helping people learn about PSP. I remember what it was like for me, having the program and not being able to make good use of it. I now have 100's of tutorials I've written.... I have no idea where the inspiration comes from. LOL!!!

This past week I felt really lousy on the Thursday and even worse on the Friday and when I got up on Saturday morning.... I had a bladder infection!
Worse still... I was bleeding as well.
Panic set in.... all sorts of thoughts went through my head.
What if.....
What if I had to be hospitalised???
How would Jared get to and from school?
How would Mum cope?
How would she get the shopping? (She doesn't drive a car..... just 'drives' ME crazy *S*)
What if I died?
What would happen to Jason's plans?

So.... I put those thoughts out of my mind and decided to go to the hospital (My doctor doesn't work at the weekend) and take my chances. I prayed a lot! I told Mum about the infection but not the bleeding... I didn't want her to panic too. I thought we were lucky because there were only 6 people waiting in ER to be attended to. The hours passed.... no-one was being called....

We'd arrived just before 1pm (had to go vote in the local Council elections first).... by 2pm one family left... sick of waiting and I was so glad.... not because it shortened the queue... but because they had a couple of kids and the mother was a NAG!!!! Her voices echoed all over the waiting area. The kids would have been OK if she'd left them alone.

The seat felt like a stone slab after and hour and a half! My back was aching. Came 3pm and another family left... as soon as they left a doctor poked his nose out and started calling names. He called 4 names before he got someone who was still there! So others must have left before we'd arrived. It was then 3:30pm... I'm still waiting!!! A couple more people got called and again a couple of names got no response.
Finally... just before 4pm a name was called out.... not there..
I piped up and said.... "How about FURNER.. I'm here!!!!" I WAS the next name *S*

As I was following the doctor he was complaining about his feet... I told him.... "You've got no call to complain Matey!!! Take a look at these feet!!!!" That put him in his place *S* I'd been sensible enough to ask for a specimen bottle when I first arrived... figured it would save time. TIME!!! I could have filled 20 of them during the time I waited!!!!!

It was all over in 5 minutes! I left with a script for antibiotics and a feeling of relief.

When I got back to the waiting area Mum was talking to a gentleman... I said....
"Lord! Are you flirting again! I can't leave you alone for five minutes!!!" LOL!!!
Everyone cracked up!
Apparently his wife had suffered a heart attack a week before and had been in Intensive
Care for the week. They insisted she could go home the evening before even though her husband protested. Well... guess what! She was back in again.... another attack!!! She hadn't even been home for 24 hours!!! He was furious. I felt so sorry for him.

Anyway, the antibiotics kicked in the next day and I was on my way to recovery.

**************

Ah yes.... you all know Jared goes to spend time with his brother Hayden every weekend.
Well Hayden has a mouth on him like a sewer! Obviously he hears it at home! He'd
alienated Jared, because he was sick of the swearing. So I had a talk to Hayden and struck a deal with him. If he could go for a whole weekend and not swear once... I'd give him $5. (He doesn't get pocket money). The next weekend it worked like a charm, I thought we had success. I'd also told him to make an effort during the week even though we'd not be able to check up on him.

Last weekend.... I gave him half the money on the Saturday... BIG MISTAKE!!!! He let fly with a quite a few 'choice' words on Sunday! Didn't come near me when I went to pick up Jared. I was so disappointed.

Then Grandma Shorty told me he'd been suspended from school for a week and a half. Wasn't to go back until the following Wednesday. He'd been in a fight. Some other boy had started it... he was suspended too.

Jared was telling his Dad about it tonight.... Jason's comment made me laugh!
He said that having to spend a week and a half (24 hours a day) at home with his Mum was enough punishment!!!! He'd be glad to get back to school! ROFL!!!!

Talking about Jason....
Still no news about his residency application in Holland but he's managed to get a couple of web site jobs which will help with his CV., and is also doing voluntary work for some government department... upgrading their web sites.
He really needs a permanent full time job though to help with his residency.
I came across someone who is new to the Master group and her husband works for an
international ITC company and even though he doesn't handle hiring employees he is going to see if he can help in some way.
Isn't the Internet wonderful!!!!! You meet so many genuine people on it.

AND last but not least... it wouldn't be one of my journals without my mentioning the
Cat From Hell !!
I woke up early one morning last week to be welcomed by a HUGE brown dollop on my white carpet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The lazy bitch could have gone through to her litter box which was in the laundry... but no.... obviously the carpet was better as far as she was concerned! I didn't tell my mother.... all Hell would have let loose and I was ticked off enough! I booted her out the door! Cleaned up the mess.... and I'm afraid... when I get the energy.... she'll be going to the Cat Shelter!
They don't put them to sleep.... they find homes for them.
This is the third time she's done this. The other times she did it in the hallway..
so I've had enough.
I'm sick of my things being destroyed.
I'm sick of her using my furniture as scratching posts...
she's not particular which piece of furniture either... she tries them all.
