Still the 4th of February...

Got an email from Chantal.. seems she had the 'Flight From Hell" between Brisbane and Bali. As I said in the last journal the day she left it was raining. Apparently about 15 minutes after take off they hit turbulence and the coffee ended up on the floor instead of the cups. She hates flying, so I can imagine how she felt :-(

Then when she got to Bali there was some fuss about her Visa. She flew Garuda and they couldn't get her on a direct flight to Amsterdam. They were putting her up in a hotel for 2 days because of this but her Visa caused problems... not sure exactly why since she was basically 'in transit'. She was led off by 4 men from immigration at the airport, said she felt like a criminal. But after 2 1/2 hours she was taxied to the hotel which must have made up for all the problems.
She said it was fabulous and she was entitled to free breakfast, lunch and dinner!!

It's kinda dead around here without her.

13th February

Jared is riding to school on his bike now, takes him 10 minutes and makes him feel independent. He seems to be a lot happier at this school, even after only a couple of weeks. We have no arguments about his homework either. I must admit I had to clarify a couple of things with his teacher(for my benefit) BUT I'm surprised how much I remember after all these years... especially with Maths, which I hated!!

Jason's been sending off resumes all over the State. He's done some fabulous creative work on his computer which would benefit the tourist industry here in Hervey Bay, but the people here are so apathetic he doesn't stand a chance. He got a couple of responses but they are not hiring right now... however they are hanging on to his details.... He needs a miracle!!

I see London airport was surrounded with military forces. I just wonder how much of this scare-mongering is a 'put up job' by Blair just to back himself and his views on Iraq.
He seems to be spending more time in the USA than Britain these days!!

Then there's our government.....
sent off troops to Iraq but waited 2 days into their trip before telling them they have to have Anthrax immunisations!
One usually takes care of these things before leaving for overseas... not half way there. Apparently they had the vaccines on board but waited until they were out to sea before informing the troops.
They also waited to see how many would refuse the injections before telling them that they'd be sent home if they didn't have it. This government is so deceitful!!
Everything they do is suspect!!

Our Governor General, who should have been thrown out last year for his role he played regarding supporting paedophile Priests when he was Archbishop. He's been spending the taxpayers money like he has his own Mint!
His travel expenses for last year totalled $900,000 and he spent around $300,000 redecorating his accommodations. Of course nothing will ever be done about it.

Our "Johnny" ( Prime Minister) has had his jaunts to the US and Indonesia. He had planned his trip to the US (again) to coincide with our Parliament opening.... What does that tell you?? The man's an idiot... I didn't vote for him!
He's constantly contradicting himself on radio interviews and what's even worse... he prattles on side stepping answers.
Enough!!

Back to Jason... he went through the garage about 2 months ago looking out things for a Garage Sale (or a Yard Sale as you call it in the US)
He put all the things in the car port to organise them and clean up the things that needed cleaning..... that's where they've remained! Two months later I'm still waiting to be able to park my car properly AND the garage I had built to store MY things neatly.... well you STILL can't move in it for the mess!!! I'm not happy!!!

Jared has learned to 'pick' the lock to the garage so he goes in and creates more mess. He discovers things that are interesting, brings them out and leaves them lying 'where-ever' when he's finished.

I suppose it's my fault for allowing this to happen...
it's ALWAYS my fault *S*
I'm so sick of being responsible for everything!
Like...
"What's for dinner?
Why is Jason doing this?
Why is Jared Doing that?
Why don't they do...?
The pool's turned green!
Where's my tennis ball?
Where's my fishing rod?
Where's my shoes?
Isn't the garbage bin supposed to be out?
What's this mark on the carpet?
Are you going on the computer again??
When are the lawns going to get cut?
and it goes on... and on.... and on..
GRRRRRRR!!

28th February

Well I finished off on a cheery note last time *S*

You'll be pleased to note that the pool is no longer green!! *S*
BUT
nothing else has changed and WON'T unless I take care of it.

Oh... there's some more photos this month... only 3 pages this time
You'll find them
HERE
And yes the 'Cat from Hell' features...

This pic is called "Pardon Me!"
All I can say is... WE should be wearing the Mask!!

Poor little Pippa was 'sick as a dog' (which she is..)
I spent the day bathing, brushing and petting her.
Mum wanted to go to the bank that day and threw a fit because I asked Jason to take her instead of me. I hate being popular!!!! Anyway Pippa appears to be a little better.
She's quite old.. 14 years

I've been so much better since I found a decent doctor. No pain, just a bent finger *S* But it doesn't interfere with my using the computer (Grin).... Lucky it doesn't...
I've been creating tutorials for a teaching class (PSP7) Well over 60 at the last count!!! It's amazing how much you learn just playing around with Paint Shop Pro. We're very excited about the class which starts on St Patrick's day.

I've also had my Greetings site dumped again! I guess because I've been so busy with the class work I hadn't updated it in months. So sometime soon I have to get that uploaded again.

We had a week of rain, which made me happy BUT we still had the humidity!! I'm so looking forward to winter. The temperatures are still hovering around 30 :-( We're all
sick of it. Naturally with the rain came growth... so the grass grew 6" in a week... well.... it looks like 6". So I did some mowing today... still have 3 more areas to do but at least
we can get out the back door now. The mower found 2 of Jared's golf balls (the grass was so dense I didn't notice them) and I was lucky not to get injured.

Mum and I got to see Chicago, which we enjoyed, but I wouldn't go back a second time... not even for Richard Gere *S* I think it had so much 'hype' that maybe I expected too much. The choreography was fabulous... I just thought all the songs sounded the same... not the words... the music.

Jared and Jason both miss Chantal. Jason has heard from her a few times since she left but Jason isn't one for sharing things... so I don't know what progress she's made... if any... regards returning to Australia.
I guess it would help if I wrote myself (grin)...
I just hope for Jason's sake that it all works out.

Well, that's all I have for now, hope I've not bored y'all

I'm off to bed!!

Nite!!
