Open up the 'Autumn' panel in PSP
Go to WINDOW >>> Duplicate
Close original image
Select your SELECTION TOOL

Draw a rectangle on the 'Autumn' image as
shown below
I've lightened this image so you can see
where to start and finish
the 'selected' area.
I began slightly to the left of the TOP
of the joining link
at the top section of the image
and finished just at the bottom of the
LARGE link
at the bottom section of the image.

Right click on the title bar of the image
and
select COPY from the from down options.
Right click in your empty workspace and
select PASTE AS NEW IMAGE
from the drop down options.
Click on the title bar of the new image
and
Go to >>> IMAGE >>>
Rotate = 90

You will only see part of the image now..
so,,
Right click on the title bar and
select COPY from the from down options.
Right click in your empty workspace and
select PASTE AS NEW IMAGE
from the drop down options.
Close the 'partial' image..
ths is what you will be left with.

Open a new image 400 x 100
transparent background
Right click on the title bar of the image
shown above and
select COPY from the from down options.
Right click on the title bar of the Blank
image and
select PASTE AS NEW LAYER
from the drop down options.
Slide the image to the top left using
your MOVER Tool.

Right click on the title bar of this
image again and
select PASTE AS NEW LAYER
from the drop down options.
Slide the image to the right if the first
layer
using your MOVER Tool,
and matching up the pattern.

With your SELECTION tool
same settings as before
Select the pattern
Go to IMAGE >>> Crop to
Selection.

Go to LAYERS >>> Merge
>>> Merge All ( Flatten)
You can now close the smaller image you
used to make this one.
Let's call this our 'border' image so we
know what
I'm referring to in the tutorial.
Probably would be a good idea to SAVE
this 'border' image
at this time *S*
