You will need the Mystic2.PspMask for this tut
which you can download HERE
Extract to your Paint Shop Pro8/Masks folder


and you'll also need the Gold Foil Pattern
which you can download HERE
Extract to your Paint Shop Pro8/Patterns folder


Right click and save this pattern to a folder on your computer.

Open up a new image 400 x 400
transparent background
Flood fill with DARK BROWN ( #210A01 )

Load the GOLD FOIL pattern into your background (lower) MATERIALS box
on your Colour Palette.


Go to LAYERS >>>> New Raster Layer
Flood fill with the Gold Foil pattern
Go to LAYERS >>> Load/Save Mask >>>> Load Mask from disk


Locate your Mystic2 Mask



Use these settings



Click LOAD







Go to LAYERS >>> Delete

Click YES on the message that follows


Go to ADJUST >>> Sharpness >>> Sharpen More





Go to LAYERS >>> Merge >>> Merge All (Flatten)
Go to LAYERS >>> Promote to Layer
Go to IMAGE >>> Resize
Use these settings



Click OK
Go to ADJUST >>> Sharpness >>> Sharpen



With your Magic Wand..
Click on the transparent area surrounding your image.

Go to LAYERS >>> New Raster Layer
Flood fill with the GOLD FOIL pattern.

Go to SELECTIONS >>> Invert
Go to SELECTIONS >>> Modify >>> Expand = 5
Go to SELECTIONS >>> Invert
Hit your DELETE KEY

DESELECT

Change the TOLERANCE on your MAGIC WAND to 100
Select the Gold Border

Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow



Click OK

Repeat Drop Shadow changing
Vertical and Horizontal offsets to - (minus) 1
Click OK
DESELECT
