You will need the following to complete
this tutorial
'Weaver 2' pattern and the
'gabriel-zilver' pattern
download
Download and extract
to your PSP Patterns folder.
You will also need the 'woman' the 'deco'
and 'corner' tubes
which you can download HERE
Extract to a folder
on your computer
********************************
Open up the 'woman' the 'deco' and
'corner' tubes
and minimize.
Go to your COLOUR PALETTE
Load Solid GREY ( #E1DFDF ) in your
foreground box
and
the 'WEAVER 2' pattern in the background
box
Angle = 0
Scale = 100
Open a new image 400 x 450
transparent background
Flood fill with GREY ( #E1DFDF )
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER
LAYER
Flood fill with the 'WeaveR 2' BACKground
pattern
Go to LAYERS >>> MERGE
>>> MERGE VISIBLE
Go to LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE
Click on your SELECTION TOOL,
then click on CUSTOM SELECTION
Enter these settings
Go to EDIT >>> CLEAR
Go to your LAYER PALETTE
and close the bottom MERGED layer so you
can keep track
of what you are doing.
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to EDIT >>> CLEAR
Go to your COLOUR PALETTE
Load the 'gabriel-zilver' in your
foreground box
Angle = 312
Scale = 100
Flood fill with the selected area with
the
'gabriel-zilver' FOREground pattern
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> EXPAND 5
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT
With your MAGIC WAND
Match Mode = RGB Value
Tolerance = 150
Feather = 0
Sample Merged = UNCHECKED
Select silver border
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects
>>> Drop Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 100
Blur = 0
Repeat Drop
Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - (
minus ) 1
Click OK
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects
>>> Inner Bevel
Click OK
DESELECT
BORDER 2
With your MAGIC WAND
Select the area outside the silver border
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER
LAYER
Flood fill with the Weave BACKground
pattern
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> EXPAND 12
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT
With your MAGIC WAND
TOLERANCE = 175
Select the WEAVE border
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects
>>> Drop Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 80
Blur = 1.20
Repeat Drop
Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - (
minus ) 1
Click OK
DESELECT
BORDER 3
With your MAGIC WAND
TOLERANCE = 175
Select the area surrounding the second
border
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER
LAYER
Flood fill with the Silver FOREground
pattern
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> EXPAND 3
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT
With your MAGIC WAND
TOLERANCE = 175
Select the outer silver border
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects
>>> Inner Bevel
Use the same settings
Click OK
DESELECT
BORDER 4
With your MAGIC WAND
TOLERANCE = 175
Select the area surrounding the THIRD
border
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER
LAYER
Flood fill with the Silver FOREground
pattern
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> EXPAND 3
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT
With your MAGIC WAND
TOLERANCE = 175
Select the outer silver border
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects
>>> Inner Bevel
Use the same settings
Click OK
DESELECT
BORDER 5
With your MAGIC WAND
TOLERANCE = 175
Select the transparent area outside the
borders
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER
LAYER
Flood fill the selected area with the
WEAVE BACKground pattern
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> EXPAND 20
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT
BORDER 6
With your MAGIC WAND
Select the transparent area outside your
borders
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER
LAYER
Flood fill with the Silver FOREground
pattern
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> EXPAND 5
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT
With your
MAGIC WAND
Select SILVER border
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects
>>> Inner Bevel
Use the same settings
Click OK
DESELECT
BORDER 7
With your MAGIC WAND
Select the transparent area outside your
borders
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER
LAYER
Flood fill with the Silver FOREground
pattern
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> EXPAND 5
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT
With your MAGIC WAND
Select SILVER border
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects
>>> Inner Bevel
Use the same settings
Click OK
DESELECT
BORDER 8
With your MAGIC WAND
Select the transparent area outside your
borders
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER
LAYER
Flood fill with the Silver FOREground
pattern
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects
>>> Inner Bevel
Use the same settings
Click OK
DESELECT
Go to LAYERS >>> MERGE
>>> MERGE VISIBLE
