You will need the following to complete this tutorial

'TIFF063' gradient
download
Download and extract to your PSP Gradients folder.


You will also need the "photodecos" tube
which you can download HERE
Extract to a folder on your computer

SINCE THIS IS A LONG TUT WITH MANY INSTRUCTIONS
IT WOULD PAY TO SAVE YOUR WORK AT REGULAR STAGES THROUGHOUT.
IT ALSO WOULD BE ADVISABLE TO EMPTY YOUR CLIPBOARD REGULARLY
ONCE YOU START COPYING AND PASTING.

Load the 'tiff063' Gradient into the background box
in your COLOUR PALETTE.
Use the settings below




Open a new image 550 x 400
transparent background

Go to LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

Click on your SELECTION TOOL
then click on the Custom selection' icon
and enter the following co-ordinates.










Flood fill with the 'tiff063' gradient

Go to EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE EFFECTS >>> FINE LEATHER
Use the following settings
COLOUR = ( #595959 )



Click OK

DESELECT



Go to LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE

Click on the Custom selection' icon
and enter the following co-ordinates.

LEFT = 41
RIGHT = 196
TOP = 40
BOTTOM = 360
Click OK



Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT

Go to your LAYER PALETTE and rename this layer "LEFT"



THEN click on Raster 2 to activate





Go to LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE

Click on the Custom selection' icon
and enter the following co-ordinates.

LEFT = 196
RIGHT = 361
TOP = 40
BOTTOM = 360
Click OK

Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT

Go to your LAYER PALETTE and rename this layer "CENTRE"



THEN click on Layer 2 to activate





Go to LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE

Click on the 'Custom selection' icon
and enter the following co-ordinates.

LEFT = 351
RIGHT = 509
TOP = 40
BOTTOM = 360
Click OK

Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT

Go to your LAYER PALETTE and rename this layer "RIGHT"




***THIS WOULD BE A GOOD TIME TO SAVE YOUR IMAGE***


Close all layers except "LEFT" and
click on that layer to activate







Click on your DEFORMATION TOOL

Place your cursor in the centre of the top left node
and WITH THE SHIFT KEY DEPRESSED
drag upwards (as shown below),
then place your cursor in the centre of the bottom left node
and drag downwards.
You can use the squares on the transparent background
to judge the distance so that you drag the same distance for both
