VALENTINE ROSES

You will need
EyeCandy 3 download


You will also need this zip file containing '4 my lover' font.
FONT
Extract to your C:\WINDOWS\Fonts


You will also need this zip file containing 'AJAMIE2.msk'.
MASK
Extract to C:\Program Files\Jasc Software Inc\ Paint Shop Pro8\Masks

You should have a "Metallic Silver" gradient that
came with PSP8... (Check your gradients folder)
If not.....
Right click and save this MetallicSilver pattern to your computer





Right click and save this image to your computer

Open up the Roses image
(and the MetallicSilver pattern in your PSP workspace
if it's not already in your gradients folder


Using your Roses image...
Go to IMAGE >>> Resize





Your image should measure 358 x 274

Go to ADJUST >>> Sharpness >>> Sharpen

Go to LAYERS >>> Promote Background Layer



Open up a new image 358 x 274

Load your 'MetallicSilver' gradient in your Foreground
MATERIALS Palette



Flood fill with the gradient

Go to LAYERS >>> New Raster Layer

Go to LAYERS >>> Load/Save Mask >>> Load Mask from disk

Locate the 'AJAMIE2' mask
Use these settings



Click OK

Go to LAYERS >>> View Overlay
Go to LAYERS >>> Invert Mask/Adjustment

Go to LAYERS >>> Arrange >>> Move out of Group

Right Click on Group - Raster 2 on your LAYER PALETTE
and select DELETE




Click YES

Go to LAYERS >>> Merge >>> Merge Visible

Go to EFFECTS >>> Edge Effects >>> Enhance

Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Use these settings




Click OK

Go to EFFECTS >>> Plugins >>> Eye Candy 3 >>> Drop Shadow
Use these settings



Click OK

Go to ADJUST >>> Sharpness >>> Sharpen

Right Click on the title bar of the Mask image and
select COPY from the options


Right Click on the title bar of the Roses image and
select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options



Go to LAYERS >>> Merge >>> Merge All (Flatten)

Go to IMAGE >>> Add Borders
Use these settings
using any colour not in the original image



Click OK

With your MAGIC WAND
select the new border and flood fill with the silver gradient.

Go to EFFECTS >>> 3 D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Use the same settings as before
Click OK

Repeat the Drop Shadow effect changing the
Vertical & Horizontal offsets to - (minus) 1
Click OK

Go to EFFECTS >>> Plugins >>> Eye Candy 3 >>> Drop Shadow
Use the same settings.
Click OK

DESELECT


Go to IMAGE >>> Add Borders
Use the same settings

With your EYEDROPPER TOOL
Left click on the RED in one of the roses.
Flood fill the new border with the RED colour.

Go to EFFECTS >>> 3 D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Use the same settings as before
Click OK

Repeat the Drop Shadow effect changing the
Vertical & Horizontal offsets to - (minus) 1
Click OK



You could add another SILVER border here if you wish.
I'm not going to... I'm going to add text instead.

If you don't wish to add text...
Resize your image to suit..
Go to ADJUST >>> Sharpness >>> Sharpen
and save as a .JPG file



For adding text... go to the NEXT page
