Download and extract to your PSP Plugins Folder.

Gold Foil pattern
download
Download and extract to your PSP Patterns folder.


Right click and save this image to a folder on your computer.

Open up your Parrot Lady image in your PSP workspace
Go to WINDOW >>> Duplicate
Close the original Image
Go to LAYERS >>> Promote to Layer

Go to IMAGE >>> Resize




Go to ADJUST >>> Sharpness >>> Sharpen

Go to SELECTIONS >>> Select All
Go to SELECTIONS >>> Modify >>> Contract 20

Go to EFFECTS >>> Plugins >>> Xenofex >>> Baked Earth



Click OK

Go to ADJUST>>> Brightness & Contrast >>> Brightness/Contrast



Click OK


Go to SELECTIONS >>> Invert

Go to EFFECTS >>> Plugins >>> Xenofex >>> Shatter



Click OK

Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Inner Bevel



Click OK

Go to EFFECTS >>> Plugins >>> Eye Candy3 >>> Drop Shadow



Click OK

Go to ADJUST >>> Sharpness >>> Sharpen

DESELECT





Go to your COLOUR PALETTE
Load your Gold Foil pattern in your Foreground Styles box
Angle = 0
Scale = 100

Load solid BLACK in your Background Styles box

Go to IMAGE >>> Add Borders = 3
COLOUR = BLACK

With your MAGIC WAND
Match Mode = RGB Value
Tolerance = 0
Feather = 0
Sample Merged = UNCHECKED

Select the BLACK Border
Flood fill with the Gold Foil pattern

Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 100
Blur = 0

Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1
Click OK

DESELECT

Change your Background colour to FAWN ( #877A72 )

Go to IMAGE >>> Add Borders = 12
COLOUR = FAWN

With your MAGIC WAND
Same settings

Select the FAWN Border


Go to EFFECTS >>> Plugins >>> Xenofex >>> Shower Door



Click OK

Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Inner Bevel



Click OK

Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = - ( minus ) 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 100
Blur = 0

Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to = 1
Click OK

DESELECT

Change your Background colour to BLACK

Go to IMAGE >>> Add Borders = 3
COLOUR = BLACK

With your MAGIC WAND
Same settings

Select the BLACK Border
Flood fill with the Gold Foil pattern

Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 100
Blur = 0

Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1
Click OK

DESELECT

Change your Background colour to FAWN ( #877A72 )

Go to IMAGE >>> Add Borders = 15
COLOUR = FAWN

With your MAGIC WAND
Same settings

Select the FAWN Border

Go to EFFECTS >>> Texture Effects >>> Blinds



Click OK

Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Inner Bevel
Use same settings

Go to EFFECTS >>> Edge Effects >>> Enhance

Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = - ( minus ) 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 100
Blur = 0

Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to = 1
Click OK

DESELECT

Change your Background colour to BLACK

Go to IMAGE >>> Add Borders = 3
COLOUR = BLACK

With your MAGIC WAND
Same settings

Select the BLACK Border
Flood fill with the Gold Foil pattern

Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 100
Blur = 0

Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1
Click OK

DESELECT

Change your Background colour to FAWN ( #877A72 )

Go to IMAGE >>> Add Borders = 20

With your MAGIC WAND
Same settings

Select the FAWN Border



Go to EFFECTS >>> Plugins >>> Xenofex >>> Distress



Click OK

Go to EFFECTS >>> Edge Effects >>> Enhance

Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Inner Bevel
Use same settings

Go to ADJUST >>> Sharpness >>> Sharpen

Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = - ( minus ) 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 100
Blur = 0

Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to = 1
Click OK

DESELECT

Change your Background colour to BLACK

Go to IMAGE >>> Add Borders = 1

Resize to suit

Go to EFFECTS >>> Sharpen >>> Sharpen

Save as a .jpg image



For a more bold effect on the last border...
Change the last set of instructions
as shown on the next page
