You will need the DCspecial Plugin
which you can download here
Extract to your Paint Shop Pro 8 PLUGINS folder

You will also need the "Motherhood" tube
which you can download HERE
Extract to a folder on your computer

Right click and save this GOLD pattern to a folder on your computer

Open up the GOLD pattern
and the "Motherhood" tube in your PSP workspace


Load the GOLD pattern into your Background (Materials )
on your COLOUR PALETTE
Scale = 50%
Angle = 0


Change the Foreground (Materials) to PURPLE ( #6C176C )





Open up a new image 400 x 400
Transparent background

Flood fill with the GOLD pattern


Right click on the Title Bar of the "Motherhood" tube and
select COPY from the drop down options

Right click on the Title Bar of your new image and
select PASTE AS NEW LAYER
from the drop down options


Go to IMAGE >>> Resize 75%" Resize all layers" UNchecked


Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Inner Bevel



Click OK


With your MAGIC WAND
select area surrounding image
Go to SELECTIONS >>> Invert
Go to SELECTIONS >>> Modify >>> Expand 3
Go to SELECTIONS >>> Invert

Go to LAYERS >>> New Raster Layer

Flood fill with Purple ( #6C176C )

Go to EFFECTS >>>> Plugins >>> DCspecial >>> SpiroFX
(Colour 1 = #A8D0F2 )



Click OK

DESELECT

With your MAGIC WAND
select area surrounding image
as shown below
(I've darkened the area on the example to make it stand out,
your image will not have this darkened area)





Hit your DELETE Key
The GOLD should now show through.

DESELECT




Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Click on Raster 2 (The image with mother and baby)

With your MAGIC WAND
select area surrounding image

Go to SELECTIONS >>> Invert

Go to SELECTIONS >>> Modify >>> Contract 3

Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Click on Raster 1

Hit your DELETE Key


DESELECT


Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Click on Raster 3

Click on the GOLD area
Go to SELECTIONS >>> Modify >>> Expand 3

Go to SELECTIONS >>> Invert

Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Click on Raster 1

Hit your DELETE Key

DESELECT


With your MAGIC WAND
Set TOLERANCE to 150
select GOLD area


Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Inner Bevel



Click OK
DESELECT


Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Click on Raster 3

With your MAGIC WAND
same settings
Select the spirograph lines


Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow



Click OK




Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Change Vertical & Horizontal to - (minus) 1
Click OK

DESELECT
