Not only do we do a patterned frame here
but we also make use of Layers
and the ERASE tool to create the Black
and White effect.
********************************
You will also need the 'linenPOP' texture
which you can download here

and EXTRACT to ..\Paint Shop
Pro8\Textures (folder)
Right click and save this image to a
folder on your computer.

Open up your image in your PSP workspace
Go to LAYERS >>> Promote
Background Layer
Go to LAYERS >>> New Raster
Layer
Flood fill with Pale Gray ( #C7CEE5 )
Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Change the Blend Mode on Raster 2 to
COLOUR LEGACY

You'll now have what looks like a Black
and White image.
Make sure Raster 2is highlighted
Select your ERASER tool
Use these settings

Carefully erase around the figures and
the seat
picking up the leaves on the lady's arm
and seat at the same time

This way you can regulate the amount of
colour you want to show through.
The more you go over an area with the
eraser... the more colour will show.
Now you can change the SIZE of your
ERASER tool
to suit yourself and erase the rest of
the gray area
surrounding the figures
When you're finished erasing
Go to your LAYER PALETTE and click on the
'Background' layer
Go to EFFECTS >>> Sharpen
>>> Sharpen
Go to LAYERS >>> Merge
>>> Merge All (Flatten)
