You will
need the following to complete this
tutorial
The "Designer
Ding" font
which you can download HERE
Extract to a folder
on your computer
Right click and save
this 'x039' pattern to a
folder on your computer.

Right click and save this image to a
folder on your computer.

********************************
Open up the Pattern image and the Eagle
image
in your PSP workspace and minimise.
On your MATERIALS PALETTE
Load GREY/BLUE ( #A9BACA ) in your
Foreground box and
DARK GREY/BLUE ( #7B94AB ) in your
Background box.
THEN
Load the " x039 " Pattern in
your Background Styles box.
Scale = 100
Angle = 45
Open up a new image in your PSP workspace
450 x 450
Transparent background
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER
LAYER
Flood fill with the 'x039' pattern
Go to SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> CONTRACT 20
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER
LAYER
Go to SELECTIONS >>> Invert
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS
>>> CUTOUT
Use these settings

Click OK
DESELECT
Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Close Layer 1
Go to LAYERS >>> MERGE ... MERGE
VISIBLE
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER
LAYER
On your MATERIALS PALETTE
Close your Foreground box and
change your Background box from the
Pattern to
SOLID DARK GREY/BLUE ( #7B94AB )
Go to the folder where you extracted the
Font.
Click on your 'Designer Ding' font
a sample page will open
minimise this page to your Task Bar
Select your TEXT TOOL
Locate the 'DesignerDing' font.
Use the Small (LOWER Case) " I
" letter x 7 times
and these settings

Click OK
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER
LAYER
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects
>>> CUT OUT
Use the same settings as before.
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects
>>> DROP SHADOW
Use these settings

Click OK
Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Close Raster 1 and the Merged layer

Go to LAYERS >>> MERGE ... MERGE
VISIBLE
Right click on the highlighted layer
Rename this layer "Merged 2"
DESELECT
Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Open the Merged layer but still have
Merged2 highlighted

With your MOVER tool reposition the
'diamonds' to
the bottom centre of your image as shown
below.

Go to LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE
Go to IMAGE >>> FLIP
The diamond shapes will now also be at
the top of your image.
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER
LAYER
Select your TEXT TOOL
Locate the 'DesignerDing' font.
Use the same settings
EXCEPT
change the SIZE to 36
Use the Small (LOWER Case) " I
" letter x 11 times
Click OK
Go to IMAGE >>> ROTATE
Use these settings

Click OK
