Right Click on the image below and save the ZIP file
to a folder on your computer.
Open up the ZIP file and save the .pspimage to a folder on your computer.





Right Click on the image below and save the ZIP file
to a folder on your computer.
Extract to your: Paint Shop Pro 8/Patterns folder

Open up your "Lady" tube in your PSP workspace.

Open up a new image 200 x 200
Transparent Background

Flood fill with WHITE


Load the 'checkerboard' pattern in your Foreground box
on your MATERIALS Palette

Use these settings




Go to LAYERS >>> New Raster Layer
Name this layer BLINKIE 1

Go to SELECTIONS >>> Select All
Go to SELECTIONS >>> Modify >>> Contract = 10
Go to SELECTIONS >>> Invert

Floodfill with the 'checkerboard' pattern

Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Use these settings



Click OK

Repeat Drop Shadow Effect changing
Vertical and Horizontal Offsets to - (minus) 1
Click OK

Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Use these settings




Click OK

DESELECT

Go to LAYERS >>> Duplicate
Go to ADJUST >>> Negative Image

Go to SELECTIONS >>> Select All
Go to SELECTIONS >>> Modify >>> Contract = 10
Go to SELECTIONS >>> Invert


Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Use these settings



Click OK

Repeat Drop Shadow Effect changing
Vertical and Horizontal Offsets to - (minus) 1
Click OK

Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Use these settings




Click OK

DESELECT





Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Highlight RASTER 1 to make it active



Right click on the title bar of the "Lady" tube and
select COPY from the options

Right click on the title bar of the Blinkie image and
select PASTE AS NEW SELECTION from the options.

Position the tube to the bottom right of the image
as shown below



Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Use these settings



DESELECT


Select your TEXT tool
I used these settings
You can use whatever font you wish
and add whatever text you wish








Go to your LAYER PALETTE and
close "Copy of BLINKIE 1" by clicking on the "eye"
Make sure Raster 1 is highlighted




Right click on Raster 1 and select DUPLICATE from the options

Close "Copy of Raster 1" by clicking on the "eye"



HIGHLIGHT RASTER 1 TO MAKE ACTIVE

Go to LAYERS >>> Merge >>> Merge Visible

Close the "Merged" layer by clicking on the "eye"
OPEN the other 2 layers



HIGHLIGHT "Copy of Raster 1" TO MAKE ACTIVE

Go to LAYERS >>> Merge >>> Merge Visible

OPEN the lower Merged layer by clicking on the 'eye'


Save your image as a ".pspimage"




Now we're ready to animate it *S*
