File
Sizes in
OUTLOOK EXPRESS
This tutorial was
written by Jemima ~28 January 2003.
I thought this might help those of you
who are not sure how many (kb's)
you're sending out in an email.
If you see the size of the email BEFORE
you send it ....
it can be corrected there and then.
Here goes.... for those of you using OUTLOOK
EXPRESS
(Sorry... I don't have instructions
for anything other than OE)
**************************
RIGHT CLICK
anywhere on the Tool Bar in
your INBOX Preview Window
The following will appear... CLICK
on Columns
This will appear ... TICK
"Size"
Click OK From now on you'll
know the size of every email you send
out.
**************************
What I usually do is
save my email as I'm composing it..
(I'm used to things going wrong and hate
losing stuff I've been working on)
To check the size
before I hit the SEND button
I can look in my DRAFTS folder (once the
email is saved)
and the size shows up in the window.
So I already know
this would be approximately 74kb
if it were an email
I was sending to you.
Of course YAHOO always adds an
advertisement to incoming
emails
so the end result will be slightly
larger.
Hope this helps *S*
