.We will work on the butterfly first.
STEP 1 Open a new image 600 x 600 Transparent background PSP9: Colour Depth = 16 Million Colors (24bit) PSPX-PSP2019: Colour Depth RGB = 8bits/channel, Open up the colourful butterfly image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. Choose your FREEHAND SELECTION TOOL Selection Type = Point to Point Mode = Replace Feather = 0 Smoothing = 6 Antialias = Checked ,
STEP 2 Select the left wing as shown .
STEP 3 Right click on the Title Bar and select CUT from the options, DO NOT DESELECT LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE INTO SELECTION from the options. DESELECT Rename this layer LEFT WING 1 SAVE YOUR WORK
STEP 4 CLOSE LEFT WING 1 ACTIVATE Raster 2 Choose your FREEHAND SELECTION TOOL Same settings Select the right wing as shown,
STEP 5 Right click on the Title Bar and select CUT from the options, DO NOT DESELECT LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE INTO SELECTION from the options. DESELECT Rename this layer RIGHT WING 1 Rename Raster 2 BODY SAVE YOUR WORK
STEP 6 VIEW >>> RULERS ACTIVATE RIGHT WING 1 LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE Select your RASTER DEFORM tool Mode = SCALE use default settings PSPX-PSP2019:Select your PICK tool Move the centre right node to the left level with the 490 pixel mark on your top ruler Click the RESET RECTANGLE arrow Rename this layer RIGHT WING 2,
STEP 7 LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE Move the centre right node to the left level with the 450 pixel mark on your top ruler Click the RESET RECTANGLE arrow Rename this layer RIGHT WING 3 SAVE YOUR WORK,
STEP 8 CLOSE layers RIGHT WING 1 RIGHT WING 2 RIGHT WING 3 OPEN & ACTIVATE LEFT WING 1 LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE Move the centre left node to the right level with the 110 pixel mark on your top ruler Click the RESET RECTANGLE arrow Rename this layer LEFT WING 2,
STEP 9 LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE Move the centre left node to the right level with the 150 pixel mark on your top ruler Click the RESET RECTANGLE arrow Rename this layer LEFT WING 3 Select your MOVER tool to disengage the Deformation / Pick tool SAVE YOUR WORK , (NOTE: You could repeat these instructions more times, depending on how much movement you want.) ,
STEP 10 Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown
STEP 11 IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 55% Ensure "Resize all layers" is CHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE Check "Lock aspect ratio" Save as butterfly.pspimage image Minimize for now.
STEP 12 Open a new image 800 x 600 Transparent background PSPX - X2: Colour Depth = 8bits/channel PSPX3-PSP2019: Colour Depth RGB = 8bits/channel Choose your SELECTION TOOL then click on the CUSTOM SELECTION symbol and enter these coordinates.
STEP 13 Open up the DD-Rainbow-40112 image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE INTO SELECTION from the options. , DESELECT
STEP 14 Open up the green_grass image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET Horizontal Offset = 0 Vertical Offset = - ( minus ) 169 Edge Mode = Transparent SAVE YOUR WORK
STEP 15 ACTIVATE Raster 1 Open up the floral-89 image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 90% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE Check "Lock aspect ratio" ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET Horizontal Offset = - ( minus ) 100 Vertical Offset = - ( minus ) 25 Edge Mode = Transparent,
STEP 16 ACTIVATE Raster 2 LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN ACTIVATE Raster 1 With your MAGIC WAND Mode = Replace Match Mode = RGB Value Tolerance = 0 Feather = 0 Anti-alias = UNchecked Sample Merged = UNCHECKED PSP9 - PSP2019: Check CONTIGUOUS PSPX - PSP2019: There is no " Sample Merged" PSP9 - PSP2019: Use all layers = UNChecked Select the OUTER transparent area ACTIVATE Raster 3 EDIT >>> CLEAR DESELECT , LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN SAVE YOUR WORK
STEP 17 Open up the Squirrel-07 image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 40% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE Check "Lock aspect ratio" ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET Horizontal Offset = 155 Vertical Offset = - ( minus ) 110 Edge Mode = Transparent, LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN
STEP 18 Open up the Spring-is-in-the-air image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 30% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE Check "Lock aspect ratio" ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET Horizontal Offset = 185 Vertical Offset = 125 Edge Mode = Transparent, LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN SAVE YOUR WORK
STEP 19 With your MAGIC WAND ... Same settings Select the OUTER transparent area SELECTIONS >>> INVERT LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER Flood fill with DARK BLUE #172983 SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 4 EDIT >>> CLEAR Flood fill with YELLOW #f8d800 SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 4 EDIT >>> CLEAR Flood fill with DARK BLUE #172983 SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 4 EDIT >>> CLEAR DESELECT
STEP 20 In your MATERIALS PALETTE load 125Pt pattern in the foreground using these settings
STEP 21 ACTIVATE Raster 1 LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> MOVE DOWN Flood fill with 125Pt pattern LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL Flood fill with DARK BLUE #172983 SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 4 EDIT >>> CLEAR Flood fill with YELLOW #f8d800 SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 4 EDIT >>> CLEAR Flood fill with DARK BLUE #172983 SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 4 EDIT >>> CLEAR DESELECT
STEP 22 EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 3 Colour = Black Opacity = 60 Blur = 10.00 ACTIVATE Raster 2 EDIT >>> Repeat Drop Shadow Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 3 Click OK ACTIVATE Raster 4 EDIT >>> Repeat Drop Shadow LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE Rename this layer BGD SAVE YOUR WORK
STEP 23 Maximize your butterfly.pspimage Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options
STEP 24 ACTIVATE the tag image Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET Horizontal Offset = - ( minus ) 200 Vertical Offset = - ( minus ) 25 Edge Mode = Transparent, Rename this layer Butterfly 1
STEP 25 Back to your butterfly.pspimage Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options,
STEP 26 ACTIVATE the tag image Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET Same settings Rename this layer Butterfly 2
STEP 27 Back to your butterfly.pspimage Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options,,
STEP 28 ACTIVATE the tag image Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET Same settings Rename this layer Butterfly 3 SAVE YOUR WORK
STEP 29 ACTIVATE the BGD layer LAYERS >> NEW RASTER LAYER Select your TEXT TOOL with font and settings of your choice add your name LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN ,
STEP 30 Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options,
STEP 31 In ANIMATION SHOP Right click the workspace and select 'Paste As New Animation' from the options. Back to PSP. CLOSE Butterfly 1 OPEN Butterfly 2 Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options In ANIMATION SHOP Select >>> 'Paste After Current' icon on top menu ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Back to PSP. CLOSE Butterfly 2 OPEN Butterfly 3 Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options In ANIMATION SHOP Select >>> 'Paste After Current' icon on top menu ,
STEP 32 Right click inside the SECOND frame (F:2) to activate and select COPY from the options Right click inside the THIRD frame (F:3) to activate and select 'Paste After Current Frame' from the options. ,
STEP 33 View >> Animation and while it is still running, File >> Save As Locate the folder in which you wish to save it. Name your animation. With the Gif Optimiser keep pressing NEXT until you get to the last one... click FINISH Close the Animation Close the frames. Close Animation Shop ,
