STEP 1

Open a new image 800 x 600
Transparent background
PSP9: Colour Depth = 16 Million Colors (24bit)
PSPX - PSP201
9: Colour Depth RGB = 8bits/channel


Choose your SELECTION TOOL then click on the CUSTOM SELECTION symbol
and enter these coordinates.
STEP 2

Open up the Maroon and Silver
image in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

(Minimize for now)

Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image
and select PASTE INTO SELECTION from the options.


DESELECT

LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN
STEP 3

LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE

IMAGE >>> RESIZE =
80%
Check "Lock aspect ratio."
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

EFFECTS >>> GEOMETRIC EFFECTS >>> CIRCLE
Edge Mode = Transparent


ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

STEP 4

EFFECTS >>> DISTORTION EFFECTS >>> PUNCH

Mode = Replace
Match Mode = RGB Value
Tolerance = 0
Feather =

Sample Merged = UNCHECKED
PSP9 - PSP2019: Check CONTIGUOUS

PSP9 - PSP2019: Use all layers = UNChecked
PSP9 - PSP2019: ANTIALIAS = Outside

Select the area outside the shape

SELECTIONS >>> INVERT

SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 60

STEP 5

EDIT >>> CLEAR

ACTIVATE RASTER 1
EDIT >>> Repeat clear
DESELECT

ACTIVATE Copy of Raster 1
LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE

PSP9: IMAGE >>> ROTATE >>> FREE ROTATE = RIGHT 90
Ensure "All layers" is UNCHECKED

PSPX - PSP2019:
IMAGE >>> FREE ROTATE = RIGHT 90
Ensure "All layers" is UNCHECKED

Horizontal Offset = 0

In your LAYER PALETTE change the BLEND MODE to
OVERLAY

VIEW >>> RULERS

Select your RASTER DEFORM tool
Mode = SCALE
use default settings

PSPX - PSP2019:Select your PICK tool


Move the centre top node down level with the 45 pixel mark
on your left ruler

Move the centre bottom node up level with the 555 pixel mark
on your left ruler

Move the centre left node to the left level with the 130 pixel mark
on your top ruler

Move the centre right node to the right level with the 670 pixel mark
on your top ruler
STEP 7

Click the RESET RECTANGLE arrow

Select another tool to disengage the DEFORMATION / PICK TOOL





In your MATERIALS PALETTE load
zilverpatroon pattern in the foreground using these settings

Load
MAROON " #690f18 " in your background
STEP 8

LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER
SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL

Flood fill with PATTERN
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 6
EDIT >>> CLEAR


Flood fill with MAROON
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 6
EDIT >>> CLEAR


Flood fill with PATTERN

DESELECT

ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN MORE

Maximize the Maroon and Silver image in your PSP workspace
WINDOW >>> DUPLICATE
Close the original Image
LAYERS >>> Promote background layer


Select your RASTER DEFORM tool
Mode = SCALE
use default settings

PSPX - PSP2019:Select your PICK tool


Move the centre left node to the right level with the 100 pixel mark
on your top ruler

Move the centre right node to the left level with the 200 pixel mark
on your top ruler

Click the RESET RECTANGLE arrow

Select another tool to disengage the DEFORMATION / PICK TOOL

Open up the vintage father and daughter
image in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

Check "Lock aspect ratio."
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

Colour = Black

STEP 20

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE


LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

Select your TEXT tool
and with a font of your choice add your name

STEP 21

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE ALL (Flatten)

Save as .jpg image
