STEP 1 Open a new image 600 x 700 Transparent background PSP9: Colour Depth = 16 Million Colors (24bit) PSPX-X7: Colour Depth RGB = 8bits/channel VIEW >>> RULERS In your MATERIALS PALETTE Load BLACK in your foreground Load WHITE in your background ,
STEP 2 Select your PRESET SHAPES tool Locate the Ding7 shape and use these settings . ,
STEP 3 Starting at 50 pixels across and 50 pixels down drag your cursor to 350 pixels down and 550 pixels across... then release.
STEP 4 LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE IMAGE >>> FLIP LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN
STEP 5 Open up the Patriotic elements 1 image in your PSP workspace. Activate Raster 1 Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> MOVE DOWN Back to the Patriotic elements 1 image in your PSP workspace. Activate Raster 2 Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.
STEP 6 EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL
STEP 7 ACTIVATE Raster 2 EDIT >>> Repeat Inner Bevel
STEP 8 ACTIVATE Raster 1 EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE EFFECTS >>> SCULPTURE PATTERN = US_Stripes
STEP 9 EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL Same settings
STEP 10 LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER Flood fill with BLUE #3a41a0 SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 5 EDIT >>> CLEAR EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1 Colour = Black Opacity = 100 Blur = 0 Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1 Click OK Flood fill with RED #ad1313 SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 5 EDIT >>> CLEAR
STEP 11 EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1 Colour = Black Opacity = 100 Blur = 0 Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1 Click OK Flood fill with WHITE SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 5 EDIT >>> CLEAR Repeat Drop Shadows Flood fill with BLUE #3a41a0
STEP 12 EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> Cybia >>> Screenworks >>> Pin Hole SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
STEP 13 EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW
STEP 14 EDIT >>> Repeat Drop Shadow.. change DIRECTION to 135 DESELECT LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> SEND TO BOTTOM
STEP 15 ACTIVATE Raster 1 EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW Same settings BUT change DIRECTION to 315
STEP 16 Open up the Patriotic elements 2 image in your PSP workspace. Activate Raster 1 Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET Horizontal Offset = - (Minus) 240 Vertical Offset = 240 Edge Mode = Transparent
STEP 17 With your MAGIC WAND Mode = ADD (Shift) Match Mode = RGB Value Tolerance = 10 Feather = 0 Antialias = Checked Sample Merged = UNCHECKED PSP9 - X7: Check CONTIGUOUS PSPX - X7: There is no " Sample Merged" PSP9 - X7: ANTIALIAS = Outside Select the shapes shown
STEP 18 Flood fill with RED DESELECT With your MAGIC WAND Same settings Select the shapes shown
STEP 19 Flood fill with BLUE DESELECT EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL Same settings EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> SIMPLE >>> TOP LEFT MIRROR

STEP 21 Open up the Patriotic elements 2 image in your PSP workspace. Activate Raster 2 Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL Same settings EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET Horizontal Offset = 235 Vertical Offset = 0 Edge Mode = Transparent EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW Same settings
STEP 22 LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE IMAGE >>> MIRROR LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN ACTIVATE Raster 2 With your MAGIC WAND Mode = Replace Match Mode = RGB Value Tolerance = 10 Feather = 0 Antialias = UNChecked Sample Merged = UNCHECKED PSP9 - X7: Check CONTIGUOUS PSPX - X7: There is no " Sample Merged" Select the centre of your image
STEP 23 SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> EXPAND = 5 ACTIVATE Raster 4 EDIT >>> CLEAR DESELECT ACTIVATE Raster 2 EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW

STEP 26 Open up the bald-eagle-gcw image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 50% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN Reposition with your MOVER tool
STEP 27 Open up the ewilsonlibertyyez image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 60% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN Reposition with your MOVER tool
STEP 27B Back to the ewilsonlibertyyez image in your PSP workspace Activate the copyright DO NOT REMOVE layer Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 60% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN Reposition with your MOVER tool
STEP 28 LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER Select your TEXT tool and with a font of your choice add your name LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE ALL (Flatten) Save as .jpg image
