siblings.png
Guinevere_decos.pspimage
Save to a folder on your computer

goldpattern.bmp
Save to your PSP Patterns folder

GuinevereCaps.ttf
Save to your WINDOWS >>> FONTS folder
or
to a folder where you store your extra fonts.

STEP 1


in your MATERIALS PALETTE load
goldpattern pattern in the foreground
using these settings
and
DARK BROWN #482b24 in the background



..
STEP 2

Open a new image 700 x 700
Transparent background
PSP9: Colour Depth = 16 Million Colors (24bit)
PSPX-X7: Colour Depth RGB = 8bits/channel

Flood fill with
BROWN

LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

NOTE: In higher versions of PSP the size of the text in the next instruction may
have to be changed to 625... please compare your result with the ruler positions
on the resulting image below.


Select your TEXT tool
FONT = GuinevereCaps



With the goldpattern in your foreground and LIGHT BROWN #532f27 in your background
Place your cursor towards the LOWER - OFF CENTRE LEFT part of your image

Enter the capital letter " L " in the text box
Click OK

SELECTIONS >>> SELECT NONE



STEP 3

LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE

EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET
Horizontal Offset = 5
Vertical Offset = 5
Edge Mode =
Transparent


LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN
STEP 4

LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE

IMAGE >>> MIRROR


IMAGE >>> FLIP

Reposition with your MOVER tool

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN
STEP 5

Now we need to centre the frame...

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options
EDIT >>> CLEAR

Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.


DELETE Raster 2
STEP 6

ACTIVATE Raster 3

With your MAGIC WAND
Mode = Replace
Match Mode = RGB Value
Tolerance = 0
Feather =
1
Antialias =
Checked
Sample Merged = UNCHECKED
PSP9 - X7: Check CONTIGUOUS
PSPX
- X7: There is no " Sample Merged"
PSP9 - X7: ANTIALIAS = Outside

Select the centre of your image

SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> EXPAND =

Open up the Guinevere_decos image in your PSP workspace
Activate
Raster 1

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

Horizontal Offset = 0
Vertical Offset = 280
Edge Mode =
Transparent

LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE

IMAGE >>> FLIP

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN
STEP 12

Back to the Guinevere_decos image in your PSP workspace
Activate
Raster 2

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

Horizontal Offset = - (Minus) 270
Vertical Offset = 240
Edge Mode =
Transparent

SAVE YOUR WORK
STEP 19

Open up the siblings.png
image in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.



IMAGE >>> RESIZE =
75%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE

STEP 20


LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

Select your TEXT tool
and with a font of your choice add your name


STEP 21

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE ALL (Flatten)

Save as .jpg image
