STEP 1

Open a new image 700 x 500
Transparent background
PSPX - X2: Colour Depth = 8bits/channel
PSPX3-X6: Colour Depth RGB = 8bits/channel

Flood fill with BLUE
#6b84ae

LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

Flood fill with WHITE

EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE EFFECTS >>> SCULPTURE
PATTERN =
BRICKS4-JF


STEP 2

SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 65
EDIT >>> CLEAR

DESELECT

Open up the
window-frame image
in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 3
Colour = Black
Opacity = 70
Blur = 3.00


STEP 3

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN
Rename this layer
wall

ACTIVATE
Raster 1

Open up the DF_BeachCapeHatteras image
in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

STEP 4

Open up the
abandonne-colorel image
in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.


IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 45%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

Reposition with your MOVER tool
STEP 5

Open up the octopus-1 image in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.


PSP9:IMAGE >>> ROTATE >>> FREE ROTATE = LEFT 45
Ensure "All layers" is UNCHECKED

PSPX - PSPX6:
IMAGE >>> FREE ROTATE = LEFT 45
Ensure "All layers" is UNCHECKED


IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 60%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

Reposition with your MOVER tool
STEP 6

LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE (7 Times)

Rename the layers
octopus 1 to octopus 8
and
Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown

STEP 7

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE
Open the
wall layer

With the
Merged layer active

Open up the American Pelican_Janet image
in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options

IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 45%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

Reposition with your MOVER tool

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN

STEP 8

Your LAYER PALETTE should look like this -->>


ACTIVATE the wall layer
STEP 9

Open up the Cartoon-characters6512 image
in your PSP workspace
Activate the
people layer

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options

EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET
Horizontal Offset = 0
Vertical Offset = - (minus) 75
Edge Mode = Transparent

STEP 10

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW


Rename this layer
people

STEP 11

CLOSE the people layer
CLOSE layers octopus 3 to octopus 8

ACTIVATE the octopus 2 layer

Select your
CHANGE TO TARGET brush
PRESET = + Default




In your MATERIALS PALETTE load GREY #e1e1e1 in your foreground

Drag the cursor back and forth over the octopus so it is now grey.

STEP 12

OPEN & ACTIVATE the octopus 3 layer

In your MATERIALS PALETTE load
BLUE #72a3c1 in your foreground

With your CHANGE TO TARGET brush
colour the octopus blue
STEP 13

OPEN & ACTIVATE the octopus 4 layer

In your MATERIALS PALETTE load PURPLE #bf72bc in your foreground

With your CHANGE TO TARGET brush
colour the octopus
purple

OPEN & ACTIVATE the octopus 5 layer

In your MATERIALS PALETTE load P
INK
#cf304c in your foreground

With your CHANGE TO TARGET brush
colour the octopus
pink

In your MATERIALS PALETTE load
YELLOW

With your CHANGE TO TARGET brush
colour the octopus
yellow

7 layer

In your MATERIALS PALETTE load
GREEN
#79a558 in your foreground

With your CHANGE TO TARGET brush
colour the octopus
green

OPEN & ACTIVATE the octopus
8 layer

In your MATERIALS PALETTE load
BROWN
#5d4f48 in your foreground

With your CHANGE TO TARGET brush
colour the octopus
light brown

STEP 18

CLOSE layers octopus 1 to octopus 7

With the octopus 8 layer active

Open up the seagulls
image in your PSP workspace
Activate the
bird 7 layer

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW
SELECTION from the options

Position as shown and DESELECT
STEP 19

Open and Activate octopus 7 layer

Back to the seagulls image in your PSP workspace
Activate the
bird 6 layer

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW SELECTION from the options


Position as shown and DESELECT

Open and Activate octopus 6 layer

Back to the seagulls
image in your PSP workspace
Activate the
bird 5 layer

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW SELECTION from the options

Position as shown and DESELECT
STEP 21

Open and Activate octopus 5 layer

Back to the seagulls
image in your PSP workspace
Activate the
bird 4 layer

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW SELECTION from the options

Position as shown and DESELECT
STEP 22

Open and Activate octopus 4 layer

Back to the seagulls
image in your PSP workspace
Activate the
bird 3 layer

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW SELECTION from the options

Position as shown and DESELECT
STEP 23

Open and Activate octopus 3 layer

Back to the seagulls
image in your PSP workspace
Activate the
bird 2 layer

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW SELECTION from the options

Position as shown and DESELECT
STEP 24

Open and Activate octopus 2 layer

Back to the seagulls
image in your PSP workspace
Activate the
bird 1 layer

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW SELECTION from the options

Position as shown and DESELECT
STEP 25

Open and Activate the people layer

Open up the octopus-frame
image in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN

EDIT >>> Repeat Layer Merge Down
STEP 26

LAYERS >> NEW RASTER LAYER


Select your TEXT TOOL
with font and settings of your choice add your name.

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN

SAVE YOUR WORK
STEP 27

Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown

Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy merged from the options

STEP 28

In ANIMATION SHOP


Right click the workspace and select
'Paste As New Animation' from the options.

Back to PSP.

Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown

Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy merged from the options

Right click top of frame image and select
'Paste After Current Frame' from the options.


Back to PSP.

Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown

Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy merged from the options

STEP 35

Edit >> Select All

Right click on Title Bar of frames
Select 'Frame Properties' from the options
Display time = 50


STEP 36

View >> Animation
and while it is still running,
File >> Save As

Locate the folder in which you wish to save it.

Name your animation.

With the Gif Optimiser keep pressing NEXT
until you get to the last one... click FINISH

Close the Animation
Close the frames.
Close Animation Shop
RESIZING ANIMATIONS

Click on the Title Bar of the frames

Animation >> Resize animation

Select width and height in pixels

Click OK

Save your animation
