STEP 1 Open a new image 700 x 500 Transparent background PSPX - X2: Colour Depth = 8bits/channel PSPX3-X6: Colour Depth RGB = 8bits/channel Flood fill with BLACK Rename this layer bgd
STEP 2 Open up the CourtesyofPDPhoto.Org.fireworks image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 80% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN Reposition with your MOVER tool Rename this layer FW1
STEP 3 LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 80% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN Reposition with your MOVER tool down and to the left. Rename this layer FW2

STEP 9 OPEN ALL LAYERS Your image should look like this
STEP 10 With FW7 active Open up the sheepsymbol image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. ADJUST >>> COLOUR BALANCE >>> NEGATIVE IMAGE PSPX - X6: IMAGE >>> NEGATIVE IMAGE EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET Horizontal Offset = - (minus) 285 Vertical Offset = 145 Edge Mode = Transparent Rename this layer symbol
STEP 11 EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1 Colour = Black Opacity = 100 Blur = 0 Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1 Click OK SAVE YOUR WORK
STEP 12 Open up the 3sheep image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET Horizontal Offset = 145 Vertical Offset = - (minus) 130 Edge Mode = Transparent Rename this layer sheep
STEP 13 Open up the NewYear's7 image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. ADJUST >>> COLOUR BALANCE >>> NEGATIVE IMAGE PSPX - X6: IMAGE >>> NEGATIVE IMAGE IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 50% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET Horizontal Offset = - (minus) 185 Vertical Offset = - (minus) 115 Edge Mode = Transparent Rename this layer wordart
STEP 14 Open up the sheep parts image in your PSP workspace Activate right head Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET Horizontal Offset = 200 Vertical Offset = - (minus) 72 Edge Mode = Transparent Rename this layer right head
STEP 15 Back to the sheep parts image in your PSP workspace Activate left head Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET Horizontal Offset = 80 Vertical Offset = - (minus) 70 Edge Mode = Transparent Rename this layer left head
STEP 16 Back to the sheep parts image in your PSP workspace Activate eyes Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET Horizontal Offset = 155 Vertical Offset = - (minus) 57 Edge Mode = Transparent Rename this layer eyes
STEP 17 Open up the New-Year-2015-Sheep image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 50% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET Horizontal Offset = 155 Vertical Offset = 105 Edge Mode = Transparent Rename this layer 2015
STEP 18 ACTIVATE the bgd layer LAYERS >> NEW RASTER LAYER Select your TEXT TOOL with font and settings of your choice add your name LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN
STEP 19 LAYERS >> NEW RASTER LAYER Flood fill with BLACK SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 1 EDIT >>> CLEAR DESELECT Rename this layer border (You will need this later in the tutorial) SAVE YOUR WORK
STEP 20 Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown ACTIVATE the symbol layer ----------------------------------- LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE
STEP 21 OPEN & ACTIVATE the 2015 layer OPEN the border layer Right click on Title Bar and select Copy Merged from the options In ANIMATION SHOP Right click the workspace and select 'Paste As New Animation' from the options. Effects >> Insert Image Effect >>> Stretch Click on CUSTOMIZE button and enter these settings Click OK Enter these settings Click OK
STEP 22 Edit >> Select All Edit >> Copy Click inside the last frame (F:9) to activate Edit >> Paste After Current Frame Animation >> Reverse frames
STEP 23 Animation >> Cull Animation Minimize the 2015 frames for now
STEP 24 Back to PSP. Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown OPEN FW1 activated and border layer open & activated
STEP 25 Right click on the Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options In ANIMATION SHOP Right click the workspace and select 'Paste As New Animation' from the options.
STEP 26 Back to PSP. CLOSE FW1 OPEN FW2 Right click on the Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options In ANIMATION SHOP Select >>> 'Paste After Current' on top menu
STEP 27 Back to PSP. CLOSE FW2 OPEN FW3 Right click on the Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options In ANIMATION SHOP Select >>> 'Paste After Current' on top menu Continue in this manner until you have copied all FW layers into Animation Shop
STEP 28 Back to PSP. CLOSE FW7 and with the border layer activated Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options In ANIMATION SHOP Select >>> 'Paste After Current' on top menu ... continue until you have 14 frames The last 7 frames will appear blank
STEP 29 Minimize the fireworks frames for now
STEP 30 Back to PSP. DESELECT Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options
STEP 31 In ANIMATION SHOP Right click the workspace and select 'Paste As New Animation' from the options. Back to PSP. Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options
STEP 32 In ANIMATION SHOP Select 'Paste After Current' on top menu Back to PSP. Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options
STEP 33 In ANIMATION SHOP Select 'Paste After Current' on top menu (TWICE!!!) Back to PSP. Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options
STEP 34 In ANIMATION SHOP Select 'Paste After Current' on top menu Back to PSP. Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options
STEP 35 In ANIMATION SHOP Select 'Paste After Current' on top menu Back to PSP. Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options
STEP 36 In ANIMATION SHOP Select 'Paste After Current' on top menu EDIT >> Select All Edit >> Copy Click inside the last frame (F:7) to activate Edit >> Paste After Current Frame Animation >> Reverse frames You should have 14 frames
STEP 37 Back to PSP. OPEN & ACTIVATE the bgd layer Right click on Title Bar and select Copy from the options In ANIMATION SHOP Right click the workspace and select 'Paste As New Animation' from the options. Select >>> 'Paste After Current' on top menu and continue until you have 14 frames
STEP 38 Maximize the fireworks animation frames Edit >> Select All Edit >> Copy Edit >> Propagate Paste Activate the black background frames Edit >> Paste into selected frame ZOOM in on the first frame (F:1) and place the image as shown then click your left mouse button to place.
STEP 39 Maximize the sheep animation frames Edit >> Select All Edit >> Copy Edit >> Propagate Paste Activate the black background frames Edit >> Paste into selected frame ZOOM in on the first frame (F:1) and place the image as shown then click your left mouse button to place.
STEP 40 Maximize the 2015 animation frames Edit >> Select All Edit >> Copy Edit >> Propagate Paste Activate the black background frames Edit >> Paste into selected frame ZOOM in on the first frame (F:1) and place the image as shown then click your left mouse button to place.
STEP 41 Right click on Title Bar of frames Select 'Frame Properties' from the options Display time = 25
STEP 42 View >> Animation and while it is still running, File >> Save As Locate the folder in which you wish to save it. Name your animation. With the Gif Optimiser keep pressing NEXT until you get to the last one... click FINISH Close the Animation Close the frames. Close Animation Shop
RESIZING ANIMATIONS Click on the Title Bar of the frames Animation >> Resize animation Select width and height in pixels Click OK Save your animation
