STEP 1 Open a new image 700 x 500 Transparent background PSPX - X2: Colour Depth = 8bits/channel PSPX3-X6: Colour Depth RGB = 8bits/channel Open up the WntrScene__Bnll-Tube image in your PSP workspace Close the info layer Activate the tube layer Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY MERGED from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET Horizontal Offset = 20 Vertical Offset = 0 Edge Mode = Transparent LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN Rename this layer bgd
STEP 2 LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER Choose your SELECTION TOOL then click on the CUSTOM SELECTION symbol and enter these coordinates.
STEP 3 Flood fill with blue #6590cc EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE TEXTURE = wood071 Rename this layer border DO NOT DESELECT
STEP 4 LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW DESELECT Rename this layer shadow
STEP 5 ACTIVATE the border layer Open up the tubtatie_jeunefillenoel image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 85% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ,
STEP 6 ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN Choose your SELECTION TOOL Selection Type = Rectangle Mode = Replace Feather = 0 Antialias = UNChecked Select the text EDIT >>> CLEAR DESELECT EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET Horizontal Offset = - (minus) 88 Vertical Offset = 0 Edge Mode = Transparent Rename this layer tube
STEP 7 Still on the tube layer Choose your FREEHAND SELECTION TOOL Selection Type = Point to Point Mode = Replace Feather = 0 Smoothing = 5 Antialias = Checked Select the glove as shown
STEP 8 in your LAYER PALETTE Right click on the layer and select PROMOTE SELECTION TO LAYER DESELECT LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> MOVE UP Rename this layer glove
STEP 9 Open up the grab_the_deer_by_e_a_s_y image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 50% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET Horizontal Offset = 210 Vertical Offset = - (minus) 67 Edge Mode = Transparent Rename this layer santa
STEP 10 ACTIVATE the tube layer Choose your FREEHAND SELECTION TOOL Same settings Select the area shown
STEP 11 Click inside the 'marching ants' to select. If this does not work in your version of PSP go to STEP 12 EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW Same settings DESELECT Go to STEP 13
STEP 12 in your LAYER PALETTE Right click on the layer and select PROMOTE SELECTION TO LAYER DESELECT EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW Same settings LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE
STEP 13 Open up the snowflake-frame image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW Same settings BUT change direction to 315 LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN SAVE YOUR WORK
STEP 14 Open up the sparkle6.png image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. Reposition with your MOVER tool Rename this layer sparkle1

STEP 17 Open up the CherSwitz~ChristmasBird image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. IMAGE >>> RESIZE =25% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN Reposition with your MOVER tool Rename this layer bird1
STEP 18 LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE Reposition with your MOVER tool Rename this layer bird2
STEP 19 LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE IMAGE >>> MIRROR Reposition with your MOVER tool Rename this layer bird3
STEP 20 ACTIVATE the Merged layer LAYERS >> NEW RASTER LAYER Select your TEXT TOOL with font and settings of your choice add your name LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN SAVE YOUR WORK
STEP 21 Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options
STEP 22 In ANIMATION SHOP Right click the workspace and select 'Paste As New Animation' from the options. Back to PSP. Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options
STEP 23 In ANIMATION SHOP Select >>> 'Paste After Current' on top menu Back to PSP. Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options
STEP 24 In ANIMATION SHOP Select >>> 'Paste After Current' on top menu Back to PSP. Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options
STEP 25 In ANIMATION SHOP Select >>> 'Paste After Current' on top menu Back to PSP. Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options
STEP 26 In ANIMATION SHOP Select >>> 'Paste After Current' on top menu Back to PSP. Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options
STEP 27 In ANIMATION SHOP Select >>> 'Paste After Current' on top menu EDIT >> Select All Right click on Title Bar of frames Select 'Frame Properties' from the options Display time = 50
STEP 28 View >> Animation and while it is still running, File >> Save As Locate the folder in which you wish to save it. Name your animation. With the Gif Optimiser keep pressing NEXT until you get to the last one... click FINISH Close the Animation Close the frames. Close Animation Shop
