STEP 1 Open a new image 640 x 480 Transparent background PSP9: Colour Depth = 16 Million Colors (24bit) PSPX-X6: Colour Depth RGB = 8bits/channel Flood fill with BROWN #5b3323 LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER Flood fill with PURLE #333874 In your LAYER PALETTE change the BLEND MODE to COLOR (Legacy) LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER Flood fill with CREAM #dfc57c VIEW >>> RULERS
STEP 2 Open up the maskJF3 image in your PSP workspace and minimize LAYERS >>> NEW MASK LAYER >>> FROM IMAGE
STEP 3 LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE GROUP In your LAYER PALETTE change the BLEND MODE to DODGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN MORE
STEP 4 LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL Open up the o 112810.jpg image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE INTO SELECTION from the options. DESELECT In your LAYER PALETTE change the BLEND MODE to LUMINANCE (L)
STEP 5 ACTIVATE Group Raster 3 LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE In your LAYER PALETTE change the BLEND MODE to BURN LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE
STEP 6 Open up the DAD-text image in your PSP workspace Activate Raster 1 Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. CLOSE the Merged layer EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET
STEP 7 LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE CLOSE Copy of Raster 1 ACTIVATE Raster 1 ADJUST >>> BRIGHTNESS and CONTRAST >>> BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST
STEP 8 EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET
STEP 9 OPEN & ACTIVATE Copy of Raster 1 EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE EFFECTS >>> BLINDS
STEP 10 ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN MORE LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN
STEP 11 Open up the father_and_son_by_slapjam image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 50% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE Reposition with your MOVER tool over the top of the letter "D"
STEP 12 LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> MOVE DOWN Select your RASTER DEFORM tool Mode = SCALE use default settings PSPX-X6:Select your PICK tool Adjust as shown
STEP 13 Click the RESET RECTANGLE arrow Select the MOVER tool to disengage the DEFORMATION tool (PICK tool) Open up the father-and-son-peter-piatt image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 45% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE Reposition with your MOVER tool under the small letter "d"
STEP 14 ACTIVATE Raster 1 With your MAGIC WAND Mode = Replace Match Mode = RGB Value Tolerance = 0 Feather = 0 Antialias = UNchecked Sample Merged = UNCHECKED PSP9 - X6: Check CONTIGUOUS PSPX - X6: There is no " Sample Merged" PSPX - X6: Use all layers = UNChecked Select the tranparent section of the letter "a" SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> EXPAND = 3
STEP 15 LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> MOVE DOWN Flood fill with WHITE DESELECT Open up the jet-fatherandchild-mei-2007 image in your PSP workspace Choose your SELECTION TOOL Selection Type = Rectangle Mode = Replace Feather = 0 Antialias = UNChecked Select the area shown
STEP 16 Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. ADJUST >>> BRIGHTNESS and CONTRAST >>> BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST
STEP 17 IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 45% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN Reposition with your MOVER tool LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN EDIT >>> Repeat Layer Merge Down (Twice)
STEP 18 ACTIVATE Raster 1 With your MAGIC WAND.... Same settings. Select the OUTER transparent area SELECTIONS >>> INVERT SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 5 SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
STEP 19 ACTIVATE Raster 2 Hit your DELETE key DESELECT ACTIVATE Raster 1 With your MAGIC WAND.... Same settings. and while depressing your SHIFT KEY... Select the inside sections of the letters
STEP 20 SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> EXPAND = 3 SELECTIONS >>> INVERT LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> MOVE DOWN EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW DESELECT
STEP 21 LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE Rename this layer Merged 2 EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> PERSPECTIVE SHADOW

STEP 22 Open up the DAD-text image in your PSP workspace Activate Raster 2 Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET
STEP 23 EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE EFFECTS >>> BLINDS Same settings ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN MORE EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 2 Colour = Black Opacity = 100 Blur = 0 LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN
STEP 24 Open up the DadsDay_Frame image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. OPEN the Merged layer
STEP 25 Open up the character8 image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 60% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE IMAGE >>> MIRROR ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> PERSPECTIVE SHADOW Same settings Reposition with your MOVER tool
STEP 26 Open up the character11 image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 60% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN MORE Reposition with your MOVER tool
STEP 27 EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> PERSPECTIVE SHADOW Same settings ACTIVATE Raster 1 (Frame) LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> BRING TO TOP EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW Change DIRECTION to 315 LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER Select your TEXT tool Using a font of your choice Add your name
STEP 28 LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE ALL (Flatten) Save as .jpg imag
