STEP 1 In your MATERIALS PALETTE Load WHITE " #ffffff " in your foreground Load BLACK " #000000" in your background Open a new image 700 x 550 Transparent background PSP9: Colour Depth = 16 Million Colors (24bit) PSPX-X6: Colour Depth RGB = 8bits/channel Flood fill with BLACK VIEW >>> RULERS LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER
STEP 2 Select your PAINT BRUSH tool PRESET = Lines2 and using these settings
STEP 3 Place your cursor at 150 pixels across and 290 pixels down and click your left mouse button once.
STEP 4 LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE IMAGE >>> FLIP IMAGE >>> MIRROR LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE PSP9: IMAGE >>> ROTATE >>> FREE ROTATE = RIGHT 90 Ensure "All layers" is UNCHECKED PSPX - PSPX6: IMAGE >>> FREE ROTATE = RIGHT 90 Ensure "All layers" is UNCHECKED EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET Horizontal Offset = - (minus) 200 Vertical Offset = 125 Edge Mode = Transparent LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE IMAGE >>> FLIP IMAGE >>> MIRROR CLOSE Raster 1 LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE OPEN Raster 1
STEP 5 With the Merged layer active LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER Select your PAINT BRUSH tool PRESET = lyndiebrush486 005 and using these settings
STEP 6 Place your cursor at 50 pixels across and 50 pixels down and click your left mouse button once.
STEP 7 LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET Horizontal Offset = 17 Vertical Offset = - (minus) 10 Edge Mode = Transparent LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN
STEP 8 LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER Select your PAINT BRUSH tool PRESET = lyndiebrush497 003 and using these settings ,
STEP 9 Place your cursor at 33 pixels across and 67 pixels down and click your left mouse button once.
STEP 10 LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE IMAGE >>> MIRROR IMAGE >>> FLIP EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET Horizontal Offset = - (minus) 583 Vertical Offset = 439 Edge Mode = Transparent LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN (Twice)
STEP 11 EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> SIMPLE >>> TOP LEFT MIRROR
STEP 12 LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER Select your PAINT BRUSH tool PRESET = pixelcorners07-st-mel and using these settings
STEP 13 Place your cursor at 80 pixels across and 75 pixels down and click your left mouse button once.
STEP 14 LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> SIMPLE >>> TOP LEFT MIRROR LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN
STEP 15 ACTIVATE the Merged layer With your MAGIC WAND Mode = Replace Match Mode = RGB Value Tolerance = 0 Feather = 0 Antialias = Checked Sample Merged = UNCHECKED PSP9 - X6: Check CONTIGUOUS PSPX - X6: There is no " Sample Merged" PSP9 - X6: ANTIALIAS = Outside Select the CENTRE of your image SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> EXPAND = 2
STEP 16 ACTIVATE Raster 1 EDIT >>> CLEAR SELECTIONS >>> INVERT EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL
STEP 17 DESELECT LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE EFFECTS >>> EDGE EFFECTS >>> ENHANCE LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE IMAGE >>> FLIP IMAGE >>> MIRROR Choose your SELECTION TOOL then click on the CUSTOM SELECTION symbol and enter these coordinates.
STEP 18 EDIT >>> CLEAR DESELECT LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN ADJUST >>> BRIGHTNESS and CONTRAST >>> BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST PSPX6: Linear mode checked BRIGHTNESS = - (minus) 40 CONTRAST = 15 EFFECTS >>> EDGE EFFECTS >>> ENHANCE
STEP 19 IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 98% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE EFFECTS >>> EDGE EFFECTS >>> ENHANCE
STEP 20 (To clean up the centre "lines") Choose your SELECTION TOOL then click on the CUSTOM SELECTION symbol and enter these coordinates.
STEP 21 EDIT >>> CLEAR ACTIVATE Raster 1 ADJUST >>> BRIGHTNESS and CONTRAST >>> BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST PSPX6: Linear mode checked BIGHTNESS = - (minus) 40 CONTRAST = 15 DESELECT
STEP 22 LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE With your MAGIC WAND.... Same settings. Select the CENTRE transparent area SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> EXPAND = 2 SELECTIONS >>> INVERT LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> MOVE DOWN EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW
STEP 23 EDIT >>> Repeat Drop Shadow.. change DIRECTION to 135 DESELECT Save as .pspimage image
Now you can add a background and image of your own OR use the ones provided
STEP 24 LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> MOVE DOWN Flood fill with RED #b31221
STEP 25 Open up the COUPLE_EMERALDEMBRACE~SD image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 65% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN Reposition DOWN with your MOVER tool
STEP 26 EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW Same settings LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE
STEP 27 LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER Select your TEXT tool and with a font of your choice add your name
STEP 28 LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE ALL (Flatten) Save as .jpg image
