STEP 1 Open up the Susane J Dawe~Topaz~Mx image in your PSP workspace WINDOW >>> DUPLICATE Close the original Image Choose your FREEHAND SELECTION TOOL Selection Type = Point to Point Mode = Add (Shift) Feather = 1 Antialias = Checked Select both eyes as shown
STEP 2 In your LAYER PALETTE Right click on Layer 1 and select PROMOTE SELECTION TO LAYER DESELECT IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 60% Ensure "Resize all layers" is CHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE Save your image and minimize
STEP 3 Open a new image 600 x 500 Transparent background PSPX - X2: Colour Depth = 8bits/channel PSPX3: Colour Depth RGB = 8bits/channel Flood fill with BROWN #251802 LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
STEP 4 Open up the Sept Series Halloween 3 - 3 image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE INTO SELECTION from the options. DESELECT LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE
STEP 5 Open up the Spider image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE EDIT >>> Repeat Duplicate Layer (7 times)
STEP 6 Still on Copy (8) of Raster 1 IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 60% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN MORE Reposition with your MOVER tool Rename this layer Spider 1
STEP 7 ACTIVATE Copy (7) of Raster 1 IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 65% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN MORE Reposition with your MOVER tool Rename this layer Spider 2
STEP 8 ACTIVATE Copy (6) of Raster 1 IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 70% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN MORE Reposition with your MOVER tool Rename this layer Spider 3

STEP 10 ACTIVATE Copy (4) of Raster 1 IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 80% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN MORE Reposition with your MOVER tool Rename this layer Spider 5
STEP 11 ACTIVATE Copy (3) of Raster 1 IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 85% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN MORE Reposition with your MOVER tool Rename this layer Spider 6
STEP 12 ACTIVATE Copy (2) of Raster 1 IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 90% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN MORE Reposition with your MOVER tool Rename this layer Spider 7
STEP 13 ACTIVATE Copy of Raster 1 IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 95% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN MORE Reposition with your MOVER tool Rename this layer Spider 8
STEP 14 ACTIVATE Raster 1 Reposition with your MOVER tool Rename this layer Spider 9
STEP 15 Maximize your cat image you saved earlier ACTIVATE Layer1 Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN MORE Reposition with your MOVER tool to bottom right corner Rename this layer cat
STEP 16 Open up the frame image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. Rename this layer frame
STEP 17 Open up the HalloweenWordartbyVix image in your PSP workspace Activate the Get Ready layer Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 2 Colour = WHITE Opacity = 100 Blur = 0 Reposition with your MOVER tool to top left corner Rename this layer text
STEP 18 LAYERS >> NEW RASTER LAYER Select your TEXT TOOL with font and settings of your choice add your name to the bottom left corner of the layer. Rename this layer name.
Save your image so you don't lose all your hard work .
STEP 19 Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options
STEP 20 In ANIMATION SHOP Right click the workspace and select 'Paste As New Animation' from the options. Back to PSP. Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options
STEP 21 In ANIMATION SHOP Right click top of frame image and select 'Paste After Current Frame' from the options. Back to PSP. Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options
STEP 22 In ANIMATION SHOP Right click top of frame image and select 'Paste After Current Frame' from the options. Back to PSP. Continue in this manner until you have used all the Spider layers. You should have 9 frames in Animation Shop THEN... Finally... Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options
STEP 23 In ANIMATION SHOP Right click top of frame image and select 'Paste After Current Frame' from the options. You now have 10 background frames
STEP 24 Go back to your cat image you saved earlier ACTIVATE the Promoted Selection layer Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options In ANIMATION SHOP Right click the workspace and select 'Paste As New Animation' from the options. Effects >> Insert Image Effect. Click OK
STEP 25 Edit >> Select All Edit >> Copy Edit >> Propagate Paste Activate the background frames Edit >> Select All Edit >> Paste into selected frame ZOOM in on the first frame (F:1) and place the image as shown... over the cat's eyes then release your mouse button
STEP 26 View >> Animation and while it is still running, File >> Save As Locate the folder in which you wish to save it. Name your animation. With the Gif Optimiser keep pressing NEXT until you get to the last one... click FINISH Close the Animation Close the frames. Close Animation Shop
