PSP8 to PSPX3

You need a working knowledge of the PSP program as many are advanced tutorials. 
The tubes used are not mine and the copyright belongs to the artist.
The supplies have been recieved from group shares or from the internet.

No infringement intended.

  Note: Remember to save often in PSP and to Edit >> Empty Clipboard in PSP when

you come out of AS and back into PSP.

y-howard17.psp

paw master.pspimage
frame.pspimage
Save to a folder on your computer

Images are from purchased cd's, groups or downloads from the internet.
If I have used an artist image that is not covered under:

STEP 1

Open up the downloaded images in your PSP workspace and minimize.

Open up the bg.psp image in your PSP workspace
WINDOW >>> DUPLICATE
Close the original Image

LAYERS >>> Promote background Layer

This is your working image.
Rename this layer bg
STEP 2

Open up the frame image in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar
and select COPY from the options.

Right click on the Title Bar of your 'working' image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

Rename this layer frame
STEP 3

Open up the y-howard17 image in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar
and select COPY from the options.

Right click on the Title Bar of your 'working' image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options

IMAGE >> RESIZE = 25%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

Rename this layer tube master

Move the dog tube to the left side do not move again.

STEP 4

Activate y_howard17 image again select the copyright layer

Right click on the Title Bar
and select COPY from the options.

Right click on the Title Bar of your 'working' image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options

Rename this layer copyright

STEP 5

PSP8 - PSP9:
IMAGE >>> ROTATE >>> FREE ROTATE =
RIGHT 90
Ensure "All layers" is UNCHECKED

PSPX - PSPX3:
IMAGE >>> FREE ROTATE = RIGHT 90
Ensure "All layers" is UNCHECKED


IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 80%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN

Choose your SELECTION TOOL
Selection Type = Rectangle
Mode = Replace
Feather = 0
Antialias = UNChecked

Select the text shown

STEP 6

Reposition with your MOVER tool


DESELECT
STEP 7

Choose your SELECTION TOOL
Same settings

Select the text shown
STEP 8

Reposition with your MOVER tool


DESELECT

STEP 9

LAYERS >> NEW RASTER LAYER

Select your TEXT TOOL
with font and settings of your choice
add your name to the bottom left corner of the layer.

Rename this layer name.

STEP 10

Open up the text image in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar
and select COPY from the options.

Right click on the Title Bar of your 'working' image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options

Place as shown right side

Rename this layer text
STEP 11

Close frame layer

Activate layer tube master
LAYERS >> DUPLICATE >>TWICE

ZOOM IN

Close layers tube master and
the Copy (2) of tube master layer

Activate layer Copy of tube master

Choose your FREEHAND SELECTION TOOL
Selection Type = Point to Point
Mode =
Add (Shift)
Feather = 0
Antialias = UNChecked


Select as shown
STEP 12

Selections >> Promote Selection to Layer
Rename this layer head

Activate layer Copy of tube master

Keyboard Delete

Rename this layer body

SELECTIONS >> SELECT NONE
STEP 13

Activate layer head

press Keyboard arrow Down once

LAYERS >> ARRANGE >> Merge DOWN
this merges the body and head

Rename this layer as2
STEP 14

In your MATERIALS PALETTE

Load ' #A69b89 ' in your foreground

Open and activate layer Copy (2) of tube master
no need to make selection

Zoom in on the dog eyes

Select the Paint Brush Tool
PRESET = +Round 05


STEP 15

Click and add paint to top of eyes as shown
(they won't to be smooth)
STEP 16

Select the Soften Brush Tool



STEP 17

Smooth top part of eyes

STEP 18


Rename this layer as4 (yes as4)

LAYERS >> DUPLICATE

Rename this layer as5

Select the Paint Brush Tool
same settings
Continue painting the eye until closed.
STEP 19

Select the Soften Brush Tool
same settings

Smooth top part of eyes
STEP 20

0pen and Activate layer tube master

LAYERS >> DUPLICATE

Rename this layer as3

Move above as2
STEP 21

One at a time activate the as layers and the tube master
and give a shadow

Effects >> 3D Effects >> Drop Shadow
Vertical and Horizontal 3
Opacity = 30
Blur = 3.00
Color = Black.
STEP 22

Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown

Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy merged from the options
STEP 23

In ANIMATION SHOP

Right click the workspace and select
'Paste As New Animation' from the options.

Back to PSP.

Close tube master Open as2

Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy merged from the options
STEP 24

In ANIMATION SHOP

Right click top of frame image and select
'Paste After Current Frame' from the option.

Back to PSP.

Continue closing that layer and open next as layer

Copy merged and ....

In ANIMATION SHOP

Right click top of frame image and select
'Paste After Current Frame' from the option

You will have 5 frames in ANIMATION SHOP.
STEP 25

Scroll the arrow on the bottom of the frame to first frame ( F:1)

Click the gray rim around the picture to highlight it,
Edit >> Copy

Scroll the arrow on the bottom of the frame to the fifth frame ( F:5)

Click the gray rim around the picture to highlight it,
Edit >> Paste After Current Frame

Hold down the CTRL key and hit the L key 2 times

You now have 8 frames
STEP 26

Back to PSP.

Open paw master tube in your PSP workspace

NOTE: Important to use Copy merged with each copy
this stops your image from jumping in animation shop

Close all layers except for paw 1

Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy merged from the options
STEP 27

In ANIMATION SHOP

Right click the workspace and select
'Paste As New Animation' from the options.

Back to PSP.

paw 1 & paw 2 open

Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy merged from the options
STEP 28

In ANIMATION SHOP

Right click top of frame image and select
'Paste After Current Frame' from the option

Back to PSP.

Continue opening the next paw layer
Copy merged and paste into AS until all the layer are in AS.
STEP 29

Edit >> Select All or Ctrl - A
Edit >> Copy
Edit >> Propagate Paste


Activate the working image

Edit >> Select All
Edit >> Paste into selected frame

The image will be attached to the mouse so move it to the left
until you see the paw and left click to set it.


Run the animation to see where the paw will go.

You may need to undo and do again until right.
STEP 30

Scroll the arrow on the bottom of the frame to first frame
( F:1)

Click the blue rim around the frame to highlight it

Back to PSP.

Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown

Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy merged from the options
STEP 31

In ANIMATION SHOP

Right click top of frame image and select
'Paste BEFORE Current Frame' from the options.

Edit >> Select All or Ctrl - A

Right click on Title Bar of frames

Select 'Frame Properties' from the options
Display time = 20
STEP 32

Select the last frame (F:9)

Right click on Title Bar of frames

Select 'Frame Properties' from the options
Display time = 100
STEP 33

View >> Animation
and while it is still running,

File >> Save As

Locate the folder in which you wish to save it.

Name your animation.
With the Gif Optimiser keep pressing NEXT
until you get to the last one... click FINISH

Close the Animation
Close the frames.
Close Animation Shop
