STEP 1

Open a new image 600 x 600
Transparent background
RASTER BACKGROUND
PSPX - X2: Colour Depth = 8bits/channel
PSPX3: Colour Depth RGB = 8bits/channel

Flood fill with WHITE

VIEW >>> RULERS
STEP 2

Open up the
August Series Art 3 - 2 image
in your PSP workspace

Choose your SELECTION TOOL then click on the
CUSTOM SELECTION symbol
and enter these coordinates.


STEP 3

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

Select your DEFORMATION tool
Mode = SCALE
use default settings

PSPX-X3:Select your PICK tool

Drag the centre side nodes to the edges of your tag
and the top centre node up to the top of your tag

STEP 4

Click the RESET RECTANGLE arrow

Select the MOVER tool to disengage the
DEFORMATION tool (PICK tool)

ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

Open up the
aslagle-andiquotefathers2-quote5 image
in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

Reposition with your MOVER tool



STEP 5

ADJUST >>> HUE & SATURATION >>> COLORIZE

STEP 6

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 80
Blur = 0

Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1
Click OK

STEP 7

Open up the
swinging image in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

Reposition with your MOVER tool
STEP 8

EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>>
PERSPECTIVE SHADOW

STEP 9

LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

Flood fill with WHITE

SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 1
EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT


NOTE: We'll need this layer when we do the animation to keep the swing layer centred.

STEP 10

In your MATERIALS PALETTE
Load DARK GREEN "
#454b11" in your foreground
Load LIGHT GREEN "
#6b7531" in your background

LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

Flood fill with DARK GREEN

SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 10
EDIT >>> CLEAR


Flood fill with LIGHT GREEN
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 5
EDIT >>> CLEAR


Flood fill with DARK GREEN
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 5
EDIT >>> CLEAR


STEP 11

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 80
Blur = 0

Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1
Click OK

SELECTIONS >>> INVERT

EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW

DESELECT

STEP 12

ACTIVATE RASTER 3 (word art)

Select your DEFORMATION tool
Mode = SCALE
use default settings

PSPX-X3:Select your PICK tool

Drag the centre side nodes inwards so the
text is completely visible.



Click the RESET RECTANGLE arrow

Select the MOVER tool to disengage the DEFORMATION tool (PICK tool)

STEP 13

ACTIVATE RASTER 6

Select your TEXT TOOL
with font and settings of your choice
add your name to the bottom left corner of the layer.
STEP 14

Set up your LAYER PALETTE as shown

Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy merged from the options

STEP 15

In ANIMATION SHOP


Right click the workspace and select
'Paste As New Animation' from the options.


Effects >> Insert Image Effect
>>> Stretch

Click CUSTOMIZE button first and enter these settings.



Click OK

Then enter these settings.



Click OK
STEP 16

Edit >> Select All
Edit >> Copy
Edit >> Paste as new animation

Edit >> Select All
Animation >> Reverse frames

Edit >> Copy

Activate your first animation

Edit >> Paste After Current Frame

You will now have 20 frames

STEP 17

Animation >> Cull Animation
STEP 18

Minimize your second animation " Animation 2* "

Back to PSP.

Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown

Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy merged from the options

STEP 19

In ANIMATION SHOP


Right click the workspace and select
'Paste As New Animation' from the options.

Depress your CTRL key and press the letter L
(Upper Case)
10 times

You now have 11 background frames


STEP 20

Activate your first animation (the swing)

Edit >> Select All
Edit >> Copy
Edit >> Propagate Paste


Activate your
second animation (the background)

Edit >> Select All
Edit >> Paste into selected frame

ZOOM in on the first frame (F:1)
and place the image as shown
then release your mouse button

STEP 21

Scroll to the last frame (F:11)

Right click inside the frame and select DELETE

Back to PSP.

Set up your LAYER PALETTE as shown

Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy from the options

STEP 22

In ANIMATION SHOP


Right click the workspace and select
'Paste As New Animation' from the options.

Depress your CTRL key and press the letter L
(Upper Case)
9 times

Edit >> Select All
Edit >> Copy
Edit >> Propagate Paste


Activate your first animation (the background and swing)

Edit >> Select All

Edit >> Paste into selected frame

ZOOM in on the first frame (F:1)
and place the image as shown
then release your mouse button

STEP 23

Edit >> Select All

Right click on Title Bar of frames
Select 'Frame Properties' from the options
Display time =
25

STEP 24

Animation >> Resize Animation
STEP 25

View >> Animation
and while it is still running,
File >> Save As

Locate the folder in which you wish to save it.

Name your animation.

With the Gif Optimiser keep pressing NEXT
until you get to the last one... click FINISH

Close the Animation
Close the frames.
Close Animation Shop
