STEP 1 Open a new image 600 x 600 Transparent background PSPX - X2: Colour Depth = 8bits/channel PSPX3-X6: Colour Depth RGB = 8bits/channel
STEP 2 Choose your SELECTION TOOL then click on the CUSTOM SELECTION symbol and enter these coordinates.
STEP 3 Open up the black_red_striped image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image and select PASTE INTO SELECTION from the options DESELECT LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE IMAGE >>> FLIP LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN
STEP 4 IMAGE >>> MIRROR EFFECTS >>> REFLECTION EFFECTS >>> ROTATING MIRROR
STEP 5 Choose your SELECTION TOOL then click on the CUSTOM SELECTION symbol and enter these coordinates.
STEP 6 Hit your DELETE key EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1 Colour = Black Opacity = 100 Blur = 0 Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1 Click OK DESELECT
STEP 7 ADJUST >>> HUE & SATURATION >>> COLORIZE HUE = 111 SATURATION = 159 With your MAGIC WAND Mode = Replace Match Mode = RGB Value Tolerance = 20 Feather = 0 Antialias = Checked Sample Merged = UNCHECKED PSP9 - X6: Check CONTIGUOUS PSPX - X6: There is no " Sample Merged" PSPX - X6: Use all layers = UNChecked PSP9 - X6: ANTIALIAS = Outside and while depressing your SHIFT KEY... Select the 2 BLACK areas (shown as green in the resulting image) Flood Fill with GREEN #1e7550
STEP 8 ADJUST >>> ADD/REMOVE NOISE >>> ADD NOISE EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW
STEP 9 EDIT >>> Repeat Drop Shadow.. change DIRECTION to 135 DESELECT
STEP 10 With your MAGIC WAND.... Same settings. and while depressing your SHIFT KEY... Select the areas shown ... Be sure to pick up the dark corner areas
STEP 11 EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL
STEP 12 EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW Same settings EDIT >>> Repeat Drop Shadow.. change DIRECTION to 315 DESELECT
STEP 13 LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL Flood fill with BLACK SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 4 EDIT >>> CLEAR Flood fill with GREEN SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 4 EDIT >>> CLEAR Flood fill with BLACK SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 3 EDIT >>> CLEAR DO NOT DESELECT
STEP 14 SELECTIONS >>> INVERT EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW Same settings EDIT >>> Repeat Drop Shadow.. change DIRECTION to 135 DESELECT LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE Select your RASTER DEFORM tool Mode = SCALE use default settings PSPX - X6:Select your PICK tool Drag each side to the centre as shown
STEP 15 Click the RESET RECTANGLE arrow LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> MOVE DOWN LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE PSP9: IMAGE >>> ROTATE >>> FREE ROTATE = RIGHT 90 Ensure "All layers" is UNCHECKED PSPX - PSPX6: IMAGE >>> FREE ROTATE = RIGHT 90 Ensure "All layers" is UNCHECKED Drag the top and bottom edges to the centre as shown Click the RESET RECTANGLE arrow
STEP 16 Select another tool to disengage the DEFORMATION / PICK TOOL LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE This is your basic frame Save as .pspimage image
STEP 17 Open up the peace_symbol image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 15% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW Vertical & Horizontal offsets = - ( minus ) 2 Colour = WHITE Opacity = 100 Blur = 0 Reposition with your MOVER tool
STEP 18 Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image and select PASTE AS NEW SELECTION from the options. Place in top right corner
STEP 19 Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image and select PASTE AS NEW SELECTION from the options. Place in bottom right corner Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image and select PASTE AS NEW SELECTION from the options. Place in bottom left corner SELECTIONS >>> SELECT NONE
STEP 20 Open up the Oriental_couple image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 85% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> SEND TO BOTTOM
STEP 21 Add your Name LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE ALL (Flatten) Save as .jpg image
