This tutorial was written by Rebba to be shared with the Artistry Master Group.

I have created the animation to have fun with but also to teach perhaps a
different way of doing it, I call My Way. I'm not a tutorial writer so this is more in
steps and doesn't expound on the design or PSP part of the tutorial. If you have any
NOTE: I have supplied the frame AS templates for this tutorial.
The second part of the tutorial will show you how to make your own templates
so you will be able to see how I did it.
Then you can change shapes
and create your own designs.

Open up the downloaded images in your PSP workspace and minimize.

STEP 1
In your MATERIALS PALETTE
Load the ' middle 2 ' pattern in your foreground
use these setting

STEP 2
Open up the masteras7 image
in your PSP workspace
WINDOW >>> DUPLICATE
Close the original Image
Rename this layer masteras7
LAYERS >> NEW RASTER LAYER
LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> MOVE DOWN
Flood Fill with middle 2 pattern
Rename this layer bgd

Activate masteras7
With your MAGIC WAND
Mode = Replace
Match Mode = RGB Value
Tolerance = 0
Feather = 0
Antialias = UNchecked
Sample Merged = UNCHECKED
PSP9 - X3: Check CONTIGUOUS
PSPX - X3: There is no " Sample Merged"
PSPX - X3: Use all layers = UNChecked
Click in center of heart
SELECTIONS >> MODIFY >> EXPAND = 5

STEP 4
LAYERS >> NEW RASTER LAYER
LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> MOVE DOWN
Flood Fill with CREAM #e9e3d8
DESELECT

STEP 5
Open kjun-dreaming-2-tbs.pspimage tube
in your PSP workspace
Right click on the Title Bar and select
COPY from the options.
Right click on the Title Bar of your
'working' image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER
from the options.
Reposition down with your Mover Tool
Rename this layer tube
This is what you have now

STEP 6
Activate masteras7 (top)
Open AS6 tube in your PSP workspace
Right click on the Title Bar and select
COPY from the options.
Right click on the Title Bar of your
'working' image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER
from the options.
Rename this layer AS6

Open AS5 tube in your PSP workspace
Right click on the Title Bar and select
COPY from the options.
Right click on the Title Bar
of your 'working' image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER
from the options.
Rename this layer AS5
You will see this (make sure it is the top layer)

Open AS4 tube in your PSP workspace
Right click on the Title Bar and select
COPY from the options.
Right click on the Title Bar
of your 'working' image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER
from the options.
Rename this layer AS4
Continue opening AS3-AS1 and
Copy >> Paste As A New Layer
them on to the working image
Rename each layer as you complete it
AS3 to AS1

STEP 9
LAYERS >> NEW RASTER LAYER
Select your TEXT TOOL
with font and settings of your choice
add your name to the bottom left corner
of the layer.
Rename this layer Name. |

STEP 10
Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown

Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy merged from the options
In ANIMATION SHOP
Right click the workspace and select
'Paste As New Animation' from the options. |

Back to PSP.
Close AS1 Open AS2
Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy merged from the options
In ANIMATION SHOP
Right click top of frame image and select
'Paste After Current Frame' from the options.

Back to PSP.
Continue closing and opening
the next AS layer including lastly masteras7
Copy Merge
and in ANIMATION SHOP
Right click top of frame image and select
'Paste After Current Frame'
You should have 7 frames in Animation Shop
Edit >> Select All
Right click on top of frames
Select 'Frame Properties' from the options
Display time =20

STEP 14
Select the gray edge around frame 7
|

Right click on top of frames
Select 'Frame Properties' from the options
Display time =150

Edit >> Select All
Animation >> Resize Animation
500 pixels
or size of your choice
|

View >> Animation
and while it is still running,
File >> Save As
Locate the folder in which you wish to save it.
Name your animation.
With the Gif Optimiser keep pressing NEXT
until you get to the last one... click FINISH
Close the Animation
Close the frames.
Close Animation Shop |

MAKING YOUR OWN TEMPLATES |
Open a new image 600 x 600
Transparent background
PSPX - X2: Colour Depth = 8bits/channel
PSPX3: Colour Depth RGB = 8bits/channel
Flood fill with CREAM #e9e3d8

In your MATERIALS PALETTE
Load the ' middle 2 ' pattern in your foreground
use these setting

NULL the background in Materials Palette
Select Preset Shapes Tool
Find the heart outline shape
Use these settings
|
Starting at 50pixels across and 50 pixels down
drag your cursor to 550 pixels across
and 550 pixels down and release
Right click on Vector layer in your
Layer Palette
and select
Convert to Raster Layer

Activate Raster2
With your MAGIC WAND
Mode = Replace
Match Mode = RGB Value
Tolerance = 0
Feather = 0
Antialias = UNchecked
Sample Merged = UNCHECKED
PSP9 - X3: Check CONTIGUOUS
PSPX - X3: There is no " Sample Merged"
PSPX - X3: Use all layers = UNChecked
Click in center of heart
SELECTIONS >> MODIFY >> EXPAND = 1
Activate Raster 1
DELETE
DESELECT
LAYERS >>> MERGE >> VISIBLE.

Decorate with flower etc at this point.
Rename this layer master or AS7
NOTE:You need to resize this master layer 6 times( or what is need for tut)
each time you need to fill in the surrounding transparent area with your color.
Then copy merge.When I finished all the templates I then used
the square edge filter to make the edges on each.
These are the sizes I reduced mine to (your may be different).
AS6 -90% AS5-75% As4-50% AS3-30% As2-15% As1 5%. |
