PSP8 to PSPX3


This tutorial was written by Rebba to be shared with the Artistry Master Group.

JUNE 2012

I write these tutorial more in steps and I don't expound on the design or PSP part of the tutorial.
You need a working knowledge of the PSP program as many are advanced tutorials. 
The tubes used are not mine and the copyright belongs to the artist.
The supplies have been recieved from group shares or from the internet.

No infringement intended.

  Note: Remember to save often in PSP and to Edit >> Empty Clipboard in PSP when

you come out of AS and back into PSP.

STEP 1

Open up the downloaded images in your PSP workspace and minimize.

Open up the bg #1 image in your PSP workspace
WINDOW >>> DUPLICATE
Close the original Image

Rename this layer bg1
.

This is our "working" image
STEP 2

Maximize the bg #2.pspimage
Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options.

Right click on the Title Bar of your 'working' image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

Rename this layer bg2.
STEP 3

LAYERS >> NEW RASTER LAYER
Flood Fill with WHITE

Rename this layer mask.


LAYERS >> Load/Save Mask >> Load Mask from disk
STEP 4

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE GROUP

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW


EDIT >>> Repeat Drop Shadow

STEP 5

EFFECTS >> TEXTURE EFFECTS >>TEXTURE
and use these settings.

EDIT >> Repeat texture

STEP 6

Maximize the AS dot master.pspimage

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options.

Right click on the Title Bar of your 'working' image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

Line up with the 'dots' on the mask layer

Rename this layer AS dots.

STEP 7

Maximize the 12479954691_femmes.pspimage
Activate Raster 2

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options.

Right click on the Title Bar of your 'working' image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

IMAGE >> RESIZE = 65%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
IMAGE >>> MIRROR

Reposition with your MOVER tool if necessary

Rename this layer tube.

ADJUST >>> BRIGHTNESS and CONTRAST >>> BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST

STEP 8

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
STEP 9

Maximize the text sign.pspimage

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options.

Right click on the Title Bar of your 'working' image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

Place at bottom as shown

Rename this layer text sign
STEP 10

Maximize the frame.pspimage

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options.

Right click on the Title Bar of your 'working' image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

Rename this layer frame.
STEP 11

LAYERS >> NEW RASTER LAYER


Select your TEXT TOOL
with font and settings of your choice
add your name to the bottom left corner of the layer.

Rename this layer name.
STEP 12

Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown

Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy merged from the options

STEP 13

In ANIMATION SHOP

Right click the workspace and select
'Paste As New Animation' from the options.


Edit >> Paste After Current Frame


STEP 14

Select the gray edge around frame 1 (F:1)

Effects >> Insert Image Transition >> Wipe

Select the WIPE Effect

Click Customize button
and enter these settings

Click OK
STEP 15

Enter these settings



Click OK
STEP 16

Back to PSP.

Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown

Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy merged from the options
STEP 17

In ANIMATION SHOP

Right click the workspace and select
'Paste As New Animation' from the options.

Hold down the Ctrl key and hit L (upper case) on the keyboard
until you have 9 frames (check bottom of screen)

Activate the AS dots frames

Edit >> Select All
Edit >> Copy
Edit >> Propagate Paste
STEP 18

Activate the working image
Edit >> Select All
Edit >> Paste into selected frame

Place the dots over top of mask dot lines
going from side to side

Click mouse to set
This should be your result
STEP 19

Back to PSP.

Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown
IMAGE.....................................................A8

Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy merged from the options

STEP 20

In ANIMATION SHOP

Right click the workspace and select
'Paste As New Animation' from the options.

Edit >> Copy

Activate the working image
Edit >>> Select All


Edit >> Paste into selected frame
Center it in the frame


Left Click mouse to set



Animation Resize if you wish


RESIZING ANIMATIONS

Click on the Title Bar of the frames

Animation >> Resize animation

Select width and height in pixels

Click OK

STEP 21

View >> Animation
and while it is still running,
File >> Save As

Locate the folder in which you wish to save it.

Name your animation.

With the Gif Optimiser keep pressing NEXT
until you get to the last one... click FINISH

Close the Animation
Close the frames.
Close Animation Shop
