You will need the following to complete this tutorial

Materials

Image9.pspimage
Leprechaun01_mc.psp
StPaddy-Horseshoe_molly.psp
LeprechaunShamrocks_mc.psp
Save to a folder on your computer


Plugins

** MURA'S FILTER MEISTER **
MuRa's Filter Meister - Copies & Clouds

STEP 1

Open a new image
500 x 500
Transparent background
PSPX - X2: Colour Depth = 8bits/channel
PSPX3: Colour Depth RGB = 8bits/channel


Flood fill with WHITE

In your LAYER PALETTE change the OPACITY to
0%
STEP 2

Open up the
LeprechaunShamrocks_mc image
in your PSP workspace

One shamrock has already been se
lected..

Right click on the Title Bar
and select COPY from the options


Do not close this tube or deselect
the shamrock

STEP 3

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 50%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

STEP 4

EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> MuRa's Meister >>> Copies





EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 100
Blur = 0


STEP 5

Open up the
Image9 image
in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 50%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE



STEP 6


Open up the
LeprechaunShamrocks_mc image
in your PSP workspace

With the shamrock still selected..

Right click on the Title Bar
and select COPY from the options


Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 50%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE


ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 3
Colour = Black
Opacity = 50
Blur = 10.00

Reposition with your MOVER tool
STEP 7


LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE


Reposition with your MOVER tool

LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE

Reposition with your MOVER tool

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN

DIT >>> Repeat Layer Merge Down

EDIT >>> Repeat Layer Merge Down

STEP 9

Open up the
StPaddy-Horseshoe_molly image
in your PSP workspace
Activate Raster 3

Right click on the Title Bar
and select COPY from the options


Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.


IMAGE >>> RESIZE =
110%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE


ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN


STEP 10

LAYERS >> NEW RASTER LAYER


Select your TEXT TOOL
with font and settings of your choice
add your name to one of the bottom
sections of the horseshoe.

DESELECT

Use your Deform Tool to rotate your name.
Click APPLY

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN

STEP 11


ACTIVATE RASTER 2

LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> BRING TO TOP
STEP 12

LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE

ADJUST >>> BRIGHTNESS and CONTRAST >>> BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST



STEP 13

LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE

ADJUST >>> BRIGHTNESS and CONTRAST >>> BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST

Same settings
STEP 14

LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE

ADJUST >>> BRIGHTNESS and CONTRAST >>> BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST

STEP 15

Open up the
Leprechaun01_mc image
in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar
and select COPY from the options


Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.


IMAGE >>> RESIZE =
50%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE


ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN


EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Use the same settings


Reposition with your MOVER tool

STEP 16

Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown

Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy merged from the options


STEP 17

In ANIMATION SHOP


Right click the workspace and select
'Paste As New Animation' from the options.

Right click on Title Bar of frame
and select
'Paste After Current Frame' from the options.



Click inside the first frame (F:1) to activate it
.

Effects >> Insert Image Effects >>> ROTATE

Click on the 'Customize" button first and enter these settings



Then enter these settings and click OK



You will end up with 8 frames

STEP 18

Back to PSP.


EDIT >>> Empty Clipboard

Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown

Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy merged from the options

STEP 19

In ANIMATION SHOP


Right click the workspace and select
'Paste As New Animation' from the options.

STEP 20

Back to PSP.

EDIT >>> Empty Clipboard

Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown

Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy merged from the options


STEP 21

In ANIMATION SHOP

Right click on Title Bar of frame
and select
'Paste After Current Frame' from the options.
STEP 22

Back to PSP.


EDIT >>> Empty Clipboard

Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown

Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy merged from the options
STEP 23

In ANIMATION SHOP

Right click on Title Bar of frame
and select
'Paste After Current Frame' from the options.

Back to PSP.


EDIT >>> Empty Clipboard

Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown

Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy merged from the options

STEP 25

In ANIMATION SHOP


Right click on Title Bar of frame
and select
'Paste After Current Frame' from the options.




Edit >> Select All
Edit >> Copy


Click inside frame 4 (F:4) to activate

Edit >> Paste After Current Frame

Animation >> Reverse frames



Click inside the first frame (F:1) to activate it.

Effects >> Insert Image Effects >>> ROTATE

Click on the 'Customize" button first and enter these settings




Then enter these settings and click OK



STEP 26

Edit >> Select All


Animation >> Cull Animation
STEP 27

Click inside frame 7 (F:7) to activate

Edit >> Copy

Edit >> Paste After Current Frame





STEP 28

Back to PSP.


EDIT >>> Empty Clipboard

Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown

Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy merged from the options
STEP 29

In ANIMATION SHOP


Right click the workspace and select
'Paste As New Animation' from the options.
STEP 30

On your keyboard
depress the CTRL key and hit the letter "L" 7 times

Back to PSP.


EDIT >>> Empty Clipboard

Set up LAYER PALETTE as shown

Right click on Title Bar and select
Copy merged from the options

In ANIMATION SHOP


Right click the workspace and select
'Paste As New Animation' from the options.


On your keyboard
depress the CTRL key and hit the letter "L" 7 times





STEP 33

Still on the '
horseshoe' frames

Edit >> Select All
Edit >> Copy
Edit >> Propagate Paste

Activate Animation 1* (the green/orange/white circle)

Edit >> Select All

Zoom in on frame 1 (F:1)

Edit >> Paste into selected frame
and carefully position the 'horseshoe' before releasing your mouse button



STEP 34

Activate the "
shamrocks" frames (Animation 2*)

Edit >> Select All
Edit >> Copy
Edit >> Propagate Paste

Activate Animation 1* (the green/orange/white circle/horseshoe)

Edit >> Select All


Zoom in on frame 1 (F:1)

Edit >> Paste into selected frame
and carefully position the 'shamrocks' before releasing your mouse button



STEP 35


Activate the "
elf" frames (Animation 3*)

Edit >> Select All
Edit >> Copy
Edit >> Propagate Paste

Activate Animation 1* (the green/orange/white circle/horseshoe/shamrocks)

Edit >> Select All


Zoom in on frame 1 (F:1)

Edit >> Paste into selected frame
and carefully position the 'elf' before releasing your mouse button




STEP 36

View >> Animation
and while it is still running,
File >> Save As

Locate the folder in which you wish to save it.

Name your animation.

With the Gif Optimiser keep pressing NEXT
until you get to the last one... click FINISH

Close the Animation
Close the frames.
Close Animation Shop
