In your MATERIALS PALETTE load
WHITE in the foreground

STEP 2

Open a new image 600 x 600
Transparent background
RASTER BACKGROUND
PSPX - X2: Colour Depth = 8bits/channel
PSPX3: Colour Depth RGB = 8bits/channel
STEP 3

Select your PRESET SHAPES tool
Preset = DE6



Place your cursor at 150 across and 150 down
and drag to 450 across and 450 down and release

STEP 4


Reposition with your MOVER tool
STEP 5


LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE
IMAGE >>> FLIP

LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE

PSP8 - PSP9:IMAGE >>> ROTATE >>> FREE ROTATE = RIGHT 90
Ensure "All layers" is UNCHECKED

Reposition with your MOVER tool

Antialias = Checked
Sample Merged = UNCHECKED
PSP9 - X3: Check CONTIGUOUS
PSPX
- X3: There is no " Sample Merged"
PSPX - X3: Use all layers = UNChecked

PSP9 - X3: ANTIALIAS = Outside


Select the transparent area

ACTIVATE Copy (3) of Raster 1

SELECTIONS >>> INVERT


EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT

With your MAGIC WAND - same settings

Select the transparent area

ACTIVATE Copy (2) of Raster 1

SELECTIONS >>> INVERT

Choose your SELECTION TOOL
Selection Type = Rectangle
Mode = Replace
Feather = 0
Antialias = UNChecked


Select the dark area shown

Open up the

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE INTO SELECTION from the options.

ROTATING MIRROR

In your LAYER PALETTE
change the BLEND MODE to DIFFERENCE


LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN

Select the FLASH Preset



Then enter these settings

Opacity = 100

Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1
Click OK

DESELECT

STEP 24

ACTIVATE Copy (3) of Raster 1


Open up the
CGS~susanheartman_christmasbrownies-MAC image
in your PSP workspace
Activate Raster 6

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.


IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 80%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 5
Colour = Black
Opacity = 55
Blur = 5.00

Reposition with your MOVER tool

STEP 25

Back to
the
CGS~susanheartman_christmasbrownies-MAC image
in your PSP workspace
Activate Raster 5

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.


IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 80%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

Repeat Drop Shadow

Reposition with your MOVER tool
STEP 26

Back to
the
CGS~susanheartman_christmasbrownies-MAC image
in your PSP workspace
Activate Raster 3

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.


IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 80%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

Repeat Drop Shadow

Reposition with your MOVER tool
STEP 27

Back to
the
CGS~susanheartman_christmasbrownies-MAC image
in your PSP workspace
Activate Raster 2

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.


IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 80%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

Repeat Drop Shadow

Reposition with your MOVER tool

STEP 28

Back to the CGS~susanheartman_christmasbrownies-MAC image
in your PSP workspace
Activate Raster 4

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.


IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 80%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

Repeat Drop Shadow

Reposition with your MOVER tool

STEP 29

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE


Now if you wish you can add the small decorations
available on the
CGS~susanheartman_christmasbrownies-MAC image
and place as shown on the result at the top of this page

Save as .jpg image
