You will need the following to complete this tutorial

Materials

DaisyWeb_JamesLee_Desert.psp
4FrameTemplate.pspimage
woman_5_SL.pspimage
v~littlewhiteflowers.tub
Save to a folder on your computer

esp_orange_mesh.jpg
Save to your PSP Textures folder
PSP8: C:\Program Files\Jasc Software\Paint Shop Pro 8\Textures
PSP9: C:\Program Files\Jasc Software\Paint Shop Pro 9\Textures
PSPX: C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel Paint Shop Pro X\Textures
PSPXI / X2: C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2\Corel_15
PSPX3: C:\Program Files\Corel\X3\PSPClassic\Corel_15

Open a new image 600 x 450
Transparent background
PSPX - X2: Colour Depth = 8bits/channel
PSPX3: Colour Depth RGB = 8bits/channel

Flood fill with GREEN #99aea9

EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE EFFECTS >>> BLINDS
COLOUR = #657370

Open up the 4FrameTemplate image in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
SELECTIONS >>> FLOAT
SELECTIONS >>> DEFLOAT

Flood fill with GREEN #99aea9

EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE
COLOUR = #657370

DESELECT

ACTIVATE RASTER 1

Open up the DaisyWeb_JamesLee_Desert image in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE

IMAGE >>> MIRROR

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN

Choose your SELECTION TOOL then click on the CUSTOM SELECTION symbol
and enter these coordinates.

SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT

IMAGE >>> MIRROR

Choose your SELECTION TOOL
Selection Type = Rectangle
Mode = Replace
Feather = 0
Antialias = UNChecked

Draw a rectangle between the first 2 frames

Depress your SHIFT key and do the same on the other frames

EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT

ACTIVATE RASTER 2

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL

ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
SELECTIONS >>> FLOAT
SELECTIONS >>> DEFLOAT

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 2
Colour = Black
Opacity = 50
Blur = 6.00

Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 2
Click OK

DESELECT

Open up the v~littlewhiteflowers image in your PSP workspace

Choose your FREEHAND SELECTION TOOL
Selection Type = Point to Point
Mode = Replace
Feather = 0
Antialias = UNChecked

Select the flower image in the bottom left corner

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

Select your DEFORMATION tool
Mode = SCALE
use default settings

PSPX-X3:Select your PICK tool

Drag down the centre top node, then move the image to the bottom of your tag.
Drag the centre left and centre right nodes in towards the centre
as shown below.

Click the RESET RECTANGLE arrow

Activate your MOVER TOOL

LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE

IMAGE >>> MIRROR

IMAGE >>> FLIP

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE DOWN

ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 2
Colour = Black
Opacity = 50
Blur = 6.00

LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

Flood fill with GREEN #99aea9

SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 6
EDIT >>> CLEAR
SELECTIONS >>> INVERT

EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE
Same settings

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL
Same settings

ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 4
Colour = Black
Opacity = 50
Blur = 6.00

Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 4
Click OK

DESELECT

SAVE YOUR WORK as a .psp image

ACTIVATE RASTER 3

Open up the woman_5_SL image in your PSP workspace
Activate Raster 3

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 25%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

Carefully reposition into the first frame on the left.

Go back to the woman_5_SL image in your PSP workspace
Activate Raster 2

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 40%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

Carefully reposition into the second frame from the left.

Go back to the woman_5_SL image in your PSP workspace
Activate Raster 3

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 48%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

Carefully reposition into the third frame from the left.

Go back to the woman_5_SL image in your PSP workspace
Activate Raster 2

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

Carefully reposition into the last frame.

ACTIVATE RASTER 2

With your MAGIC WAND
Mode = Replace
Match Mode = RGB Value
Tolerance = 36
Feather = 0
Antialias = UNchecked
Sample Merged = UNCHECKED
PSP9 - X3: Check CONTIGUOUS
PSPX - X3: There is no " Sample Merged"
PSPX - X3: Use all layers = UNChecked

and while depressing your SHIFT KEY...

Click inside the right side frame

SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> EXPAND = 3

ACTIVATE RASTER 9

SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT

ACTIVATE RASTER 5

LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

Select your TEXT tool and a Font of your choice
Type in your name and place it at the bottom of your tag.

PSPX3 TIP:
PSPX3 has a very different way of adding text
After clicking on the "A " text tool
go to your image ... but...
before clicking on the image hold down your shift key,
then, when you click on your image the text box will show up

ACTIVATE RASTER 1
CLOSE RASTER 7
CLOSE RASTER 8
CLOSE RASTER 9

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY MERGED from the options

In ANIMATION SHOP

Right click the workspace and select
'Paste As New Animation' from the options.

Back to PSP.

CLOSE RASTER 6
OPEN RASTER 7

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY MERGED from the options

In ANIMATION SHOP

Right click top of frame image and select
'Paste After Current Frame' from the options.

Back to PSP.

CLOSE RASTER 7
OPEN RASTER 8

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY MERGED from the options

In ANIMATION SHOP

Right click top of frame image and select
'Paste After Current Frame' from the options.

Back to PSP.

CLOSE RASTER 8
OPEN RASTER 9

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY MERGED from the options

In ANIMATION SHOP

Right click top of frame image and select
'Paste After Current Frame' from the options.

EDIT >> Select All

Right click on Title Bar of frames
Select 'Frame Properties' from the options
Display time =100

View >> Animation
and while it is still running,
File >> Save As

Locate the folder in which you wish to save it.

Name your animation.

With the Gif Optimiser keep pressing NEXT
until you get to the last one... click FINISH

Close the Animation
Close the frames.
Close Animation Shop

Back to PSP.
Save as .psp image
