PSP8 to PSPX3

This was created using PSP9 but can be adapted for other versions of PSP.
You will need the
following to complete this tutorial
Materials
sd_halloweentag3.pspimage
JF_Fantasy_035.psp
JF_Fantasy_037.psp
JF_Fantasy_039.psp
Save to a folder on your computer

Open a new image 500 x 500
Transparent background
PSPX - X2: Colour Depth = 8bits/channel
PSPX3: Colour Depth RGB = 8bits/channel
Open up the sd_halloweentag3 image in your PSP workspace
Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options
Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.
(Minimise the image, we will use it again)
IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 75%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE
EFFECTS >>> IMAGE EFFECTS >>> OFFSET
EFFECTS >>> DISTORTION EFFECTS >>> PINCH
EDIT >>> Repeat Pinch
EDIT >>> Repeat Pinch
EFFECTS >>> EDGE EFFECTS >>> ENHANCE MORE
IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 85%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE
EFFECTS >>> DISTORTION EFFECTS >>> WAVE
Choose your SELECTION TOOL
Selection Type = Rectangle
Mode = Replace
Feather = 0
Antialias = UNChecked
Draw a rectangle as shown
Depress your SHIFT key and draw a second rectangle as shown
and when you release your mouse you should have this..
ACTIVATE RASTER 1
Flood fill the selection with BLACK
DESELECT
In your LAYER PALETTE change the OPACITY to 60%
ACTIVATE RASTER 2
EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL
Open up the sd_halloweentag3 image in your PSP workspace
Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options
Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.
IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 60%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE
ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN MORE
EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL
ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN
LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE
EFFECTS >>> DISTORTION EFFECTS >>> LENS DISTORTION
ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN
EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL
Reposition with your MOVER tool |

LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE
IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 85%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE
Reposition with your MOVER tool |

DELETE RASTER 3 |

Open up theJF_Fantasy_037 image in your PSP workspace
Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options
Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.
IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 60%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE
ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN
IMAGE >>> MIRROR
Reposition with your MOVER tool
Open up theJF_Fantasy_035 image in your PSP workspace
Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options
Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.
IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 65%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE
ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN
Reposition with your MOVER tool
Open up theJF_Fantasy_039 image in your PSP workspace
Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options
Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.
IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 60%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE
ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN
Reposition with your MOVER tool
EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
ACTIVATE RASTER 5 (2nd top layer)
EDIT >>> Repeat Drop Shadow.
ACTIVATE RASTER 4 (3rd top layer)
EDIT >>> Repeat Drop Shadow.
LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE
Save as .psp image
