STEP 1 Open a new image 500 x 500 Transparent background PSPX - X2: Colour Depth = 8bits/channel PSPX3: Colour Depth RGB = 8bits/channel Flood fill with BLACK Rename this layer bgd
STEP 2 LAYERS >> NEW RASTER LAYER Select your TEXT TOOL with font and settings of your choice add your name to the bottom left corner of the layer. Rename this layer Name.
STEP 3 In your MATERIALS PALETTE load soul058 gradient in the foreground using these settings
STEP 4 LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER Flood fill with the gradient SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 4 EDIT >>> CLEAR DESELECT Rename this layer frame
STEP 5 Open up the kTs_13bK_m5bcopieB image in your PSP workspace Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 80% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN Reposition with your MOVER tool Rename this layer clock
STEP 6 ADJUST >>> HUE & SATURATION >>> COLORIZE
STEP 7 CLOSE the clock layer Open up the kTs_13bK_m5bcopieB image in your PSP workspace Activate the PURPLE layer Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 80% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN IMAGE >>> MIRROR Reposition with your MOVER tool
STEP 8 Back to the kTs_13bK_m5bcopieB image Activate the YELLOW layer Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN Reposition with your MOVER tool
STEP 9 Back to the kTs_13bK_m5bcopieB image Activate the HOT PINK layer Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN Reposition with your MOVER tool
STEP 10 CLOSE RASTER 1 & RASTER 3 With Raster 3 active Back to the kTs_13bK_m5bcopieB image Activate the RED layer Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 80% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE IMAGE >>> MIRROR ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN Reposition with your MOVER tool
STEP 11 CLOSE RASTER 2 & RASTER 4 With Raster 4 active Back to the kTs_13bK_m5bcopieB image Activate the BLUE layer Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN Reposition with your MOVER tool
STEP 12 Back to the kTs_13bK_m5bcopieB image Activate the AQUA layer Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 80% Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN Reposition with your MOVER tool
STEP 13 Make sure RASTER 1 to 6 are closed and Raster 6 is still active Open the bgd, frame and clock layers Open up the CGS~NewYear2 image in your PSP workspace Activate Copy of Layer1 Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. Reposition with your MOVER tool Rename this layer text banner
STEP 14 Back to the CGS~NewYear2 image in your PSP workspace Activate the Merged layer Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options. Reposition with your MOVER tool on top of the banner below Rename this layer blank banner
STEP 15 Set up your layer pallette as shown on the right
STEP 16 Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options In ANIMATION SHOP Right click the workspace and select 'Paste As New Animation' from the options.
STEP 17 BACK TO PSP OPEN RASTER 1 Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options In ANIMATION SHOP Right click top of frame image and select 'Paste After Current Frame' from the options.
STEP 18 BACK TO PSP OPEN RASTER 2 Right click on Title Bar and select Copy merged from the options In ANIMATION SHOP Right click top of frame image and select 'Paste After Current Frame' from the options.
STEP 19 Continue opening the Raster layers one at a time Copy merge in PSP and in ANIMATION sHOP Right click top of frame image and select 'Paste After Current Frame' from the options. until all 6 layers are open in PSP and you have 7 frames
STEP 20 BACK TO PSP OPEN & ACTIVATE blank banner layer Right click on Title Bar and select Copy from the options In ANIMATION SHOP Right click the workspace and select 'Paste As New Animation' from the options.
STEP 21 In ANIMATION SHOP EFFECTS >>> Insert Image Transition Select the "Page Turn" option Click the CUSTOMIZE button and enter these settings Click OK THEN enter these settings and click on OK button
STEP 22 Activate the Animation1* frames Click inside the first frame (F:1) Edit >> Copy Click inside the last frame (F:7) Edit >> Paste After Current Frame
STEP 23 Activate the Animation2* frames Go to the top Menu... Edit >> Select All Edit >> Copy Edit >> Propagate Paste Activate the Animation1* frames Zoom in on the first frame (F:1) Edit >> Select All Edit >> Paste into selected frame The blank banner will be attached to your cursor, carefully place it over the top of the test banner and release your mouse button
STEP 24 Edit >> Select All Right click on Title Bar of frames Select 'Frame Properties' from the options Display time = 35
STEP 25 Click inside frame 1 (F:1) Right click on Title Bar of frames Select 'Frame Properties' from the options Display time = 80 Click inside frame 8 (F:8) Right click on Title Bar of frames Select 'Frame Properties' from the options Display time = 80
STEP 26 View >> Animation and while it is still running, File >> Save As Locate the folder in which you wish to save it. Name your animation. With the Gif Optimiser keep pressing NEXT until you get to the last one... click FINISH Close the Animation Close the frames. Close Animation Shop
