In your MATERIALS PALETTE

Load SOLID BLUE ' #86a7d1 ' in your foreground

Open a new image 600 x 480
Transparent background
PSPX - X2: Colour Depth = 8bits/channel

Open up the
bord_mini_architecture_015 image in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

Reposition with your MOVER tool to the top centre of your image




Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image
and select PASTE AS NEW SELECTION from the options.

Position with your MOVER tool to the right of the last image.



DESELECT

Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image
and select PASTE AS NEW SELECTION from the options.

Position with your MOVER tool to the right of the last image.

DESELECT



Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image
and select PASTE AS NEW SELECTION from the options.

Position with your MOVER tool to the LEFT of the image.



DESELECT

Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image
and select PASTE AS NEW SELECTION from the options.

Position with your MOVER tool to the LEFT of the image.

DESELECT



LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE

IMAGE >>> FLIP



LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE

PSP8 - PSP9: IMAGE >>> ROTATE >>> FREE ROTATE = RIGHT 90
Ensure "All layers" is UNCHECKED

PSPX - PSPX2:
IMAGE >>> FREE ROTATE = RIGHT 90
Ensure "All layers" is UNCHECKED


Reposition with your MOVER tool so the centre of the large design is level with the 240 mark
on the left ruler ... and position with the left edges of the lower borders.

......

LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE

IMAGE >>> MIRROR

If it doesn't quite meet the edges on the right side reposition carefully with your MOVER tool.



Choose your FREEHAND SELECTION TOOL
Selection Type = Point to Point
Mode = Replace
Feather = 0
Smoothing = 2
Antialias = Checked

Section off the top right corner as shown below.
You may have to ZOOM in to do this precisely.



EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT



Repeat the above instructions with the bottom Right corner.

ACTIVATE Copy (2) of Raster 2

Choose your FREEHAND SELECTION TOOL ... same settings

Section off the top right corner as shown below.



EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT



Repeat the above instructions with the bottom Left corner.

CLOSE RASTER 1

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE

To centre the image....

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

DELETE THE MERGED LAYER

ACTIVATE RASTER 2

IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 85%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE



With your MAGIC WAND
Mode = Replace
Match Mode = RGB Value
Tolerance = 0
Feather = 0
Antialias = UNchecked
Sample Merged = UNCHECKED
PSP9 - X2: Check CONTIGUOUS
PSPX
- X2: There is no " Sample Merged"

PSPX - X2: Use all layers = UNChecked


Select the OUTER transparent area

SELECTIONS >>> INVERT

SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 4

SELECTIONS >>> INVERT

ACTIVATE RASTER 1

Flood fill with BLUE

EFFECTS >>> ARTISTIC EFFECTS >>> HALFTONE





DESELECT

SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL

SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 13

SELECTIONS >>> INVERT

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL



EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW




EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW
Same settings

EDIT >>> Repeat Drop Shadow.. change DIRECTION to 135

DESELECT



ACTIVATE RASTER 2

With your MAGIC WAND.... Same settings.

Select the area outside the frame

SELECTIONS >>> INVERT

EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW
Same settings

EDIT >>> Repeat Drop Shadow.. change DIRECTION to 315

DESELECT



LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

Flood fill with BLUE

SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 4
EDIT >>> CLEAR

SELECTIONS >>> INVERT

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL



EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 70
Blur = 0

Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1
Click OK

DESELECT



LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE

IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 96%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE



LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE

Save as .psp image

This is your frame.




To continue with the image I framed.....

LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> MOVE DOWN

Flood fill with BLUE

EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE

Open up the HailsBarbara-Courtyard_at_Twilight-We@WWSA-misteries image in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 90%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

ACTIVATE THE MERGED LAYER

With your MAGIC WAND.... Same settings.

Select the CENTRE of your image.



SELECTIONS >>> INVERT

EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW
Same settings but change OPACITY to 75

EDIT >>> Repeat Drop Shadow.. change DIRECTION to 135

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE ALL (Flatten)

Save as .jpg image
