This was created using PSP9 but can be adapted for other versions of PSP.

You will need the following to complete this tutorial

Materials
LEFT CLICK >>> SAVE

gabeemask2912.jpg
products_lg_394.jpg
juls-daisyferntemp.psp
MM~AP_DancingDaisiesmmSM.psp
Save to a folder on your computer

Geeves.ttf
Save to your WINDOWS >>> FONTS folder
or
to a folder where you store your extra fonts.

Open all your images in PSP and minimize.


Open up the gabeemask2912.jpg image in your PSP workspace

Open a new image 500 x 500
Transparent background
PSPX: Colour Depth = 8bits/channel

LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

Flood fill with " #355b93 "


LAYERS >>> NEW MASK LAYER >>> FROM IMAGE





LAYERS >>> DELETE



"YES"

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE GROUP

EFFECTS >>> EDGE EFFECTS >>> ENHANCE MORE

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options




Open up the juls-daisyferntemp.psp image in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

Reposition with your MOVER tool



ACTIVATE GROUP-RASTER 2



Open up the products_lg_394.jpg image in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

Reposition with your MOVER tool



ACTIVATE RASTER 2

EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW
COLOUR = WHITE





In your Layer Palette for "GROUP RASTER 2"
change the BLEND MODE to SATURATION

ACTIVATE RASTER 3

Open up the MM~AP_DancingDaisiesmmSM.psp image in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 45%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED

EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW
Same settings
COLOUR =BLACK

Reposition with your MOVER tool



ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

CLOSE RASTER 1

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE

OPEN RASTER 1
You can fill this layer (later) with whatever colour you use for a background on a web page or email.

Save as .psp image



To add the text I used ....

LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

Load the ' #b6c8e4 ' in your foreground
Load the ' #355b93 ' in your background



Select your TEXT tool

Locate the " Geeves.ttf " font

PSP8


PSP9/10


Enter your text ... Click "Apply"
(I've filled Raster 1 with BLUE ( #b6c8e4 ) to match the background on this page)



EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 60
Blur = 0

EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW
Same settings

DESELECT

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE ALL (Flatten)
Save as .jpg image
