This was created using PSP9 but can be adapted for other versions of PSP.
You will need the
following to complete this tutorial
Materials
LEFT CLICK >>> SAVE
JF_template116.psp
JFfantasy1.psp
JFfantasy3.psp
JFfantasy5.psp
Save to a folder on your computer
Azul 012.jpg
Save to your PSP Patterns folder
Chiller.ttf
Save to your WINDOWS >>> FONTS folder
or
to a folder where you store your extra fonts.

Open your images in PSP and minimize
In your MATERIALS PALETTE
Load DARK BLUE' #0a1f46 ' in your foreground
Load BLUE ' #153f8d ' in your background
Then select the GRADIENT option in the foreground
Left click inside the gradient box
Locate the "Foreground-background" gradient
Use these settings
Open a new image 600 x 450
Transparent background
PSPX: Colour Depth = 8bits/channel
Flood fill with the gradient
LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER
In your MATERIALS PALETTE
Load ORANGE ' #ffaa50 ' in your background
Open up the JF_template116.psp image in your PSP workspace
Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options
Right click on the Title Bar of your new tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.
SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
SELECTIONS >>> FLOAT
SELECTIONS >>> DEFLOAT
Select your AIRBRUSH tool
BRUSH = + Round 50
Fill the selection with the ORANGE background
DESELECT
EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL
COLOUR = "
#fe4a4a "
EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 70
Blur = 0
Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1
Click OK
ACTIVATE RASTER 1
Choose your SELECTION TOOL then click on the CUSTOM SELECTION symbol
EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE EFFECTS >>> SCULPTURE
COLOUR = " #d2baa4 "
DESELECT
Open up the JFfantasy1.psp image in your PSP workspace
Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options
Right click on the Title Bar of your new tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.
IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 60%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN
Reposition with your MOVER tool
EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> PERSPECTIVE SHADOW
ACTIVATE RASTER 2
Open up the JFfantasy5.psp image in your PSP workspace
Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options
Right click on the Title Bar of your new tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.
IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 55%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN
EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> PERSPECTIVE SHADOW
Same settings
Reposition with your MOVER tool
Open up the JFfantasy3.psp image in your PSP workspace
Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options
Right click on the Title Bar of your new tag image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.
IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 50%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN
EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> PERSPECTIVE SHADOW
Same settings
Reposition with your MOVER tool
ACTIVATE RASTER 1
EFFECTS >>> ILLUMINATION EFFECTS >>> LIGHTS
COLOUR = #c8c8c8
(Before entering these settings check that Light Sources 1, 2, 4, and 5 are turned OFF
under the heading "Settings")
LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER
LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> BRING TO TOP
SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
Flood fill with background colour - #ffaa50
EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL
COLOUR = #fe4a4a
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 2
EDIT >>> CLEAR
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 2
Flood fill with background colour - #ffaa50
EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL
Same settings
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 2
EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT
EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 70
Blur = 0
Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1
Click OK
ACTIVATE RASTER 1
LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER
SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
Flood fill with #1c4ca4
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 40
EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT
In your LAYER PALETTE change the OPACITY to 50%
Change the BLEND MODE to DISSOLVE
LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER
LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> BRING TO TOP
In your MATERIALS PALETTE
Load SOLID BLUE ' #0a1f46 ' in your foreground
Load SOLID ORANGE ' #ff8762 ' in your background
Select your TEXT tool
Enter "Ha.. Ha.. Happy"
Click "Apply"
EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 70
Blur = 0
Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1
Click OK
ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN MORE
EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
DESELECT
Select your TEXT tool .... same settings BUT change the SIZE to 72
Enter "Halloween"
Click "Apply"
EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 70
Blur = 0
Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1
Click OK
ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN MORE
EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Same settings
DESELECT
EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL
COLOUR = " #fe4a4a "
LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE ALL (Flatten)
Save as .jpg image
