Materials

" Abstract201.jpg "
" KaraBGSilver1-PreviewGrad.jpg "
" JFtmp13.psp "
" 3229-30158.jpg "

Click link... then....
Right click and Save Image As to a folder on your computer

Plugins

Open up the " KaraBGSilver1-PreviewGrad.jpg " in your PSP workspace... then minimize.

In your MATERIALS PALETTE load
" KaraBGSilver1-PreviewGrad.jpg " in the foreground



Open up the " Abstract201.jpg " in your PSP workspace

WINDOW >>> DUPLICATE
Close the original Image
LAYERS >>> Promote background layer.

Open up the " JFtmp13.psp " in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Go to your 'abstract' image
SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 10
LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

Right click on the Title Bar
and select PASTE INTO SELECTION from the options.



With your MAGIC WAND
Mode = Replace
Match Mode = RGB Value
Tolerance = 0
Feather = 0
Antialias = UNchecked
Sample Merged = UNCHECKED
PSP9 USERS: CHECK CONTIGUOUS

Click inside the selected area



Select your AIRBRUSH tool



Airbrush the selected areas with " KaraBGSilver1-PreviewGrad.jpg " pattern

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 80
Blur = 0

Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1
Click OK

DESELECT

ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN




With your MAGIC WAND ... same settings... select the area shown below



Activate Raster 1

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL





DESELECT

Activate Raster 2
With your MAGIC WAND ... same settings... select the area shown below



SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> EXPAND = 2
Activate Raster 1

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL
Same settings

DESELECT

Activate Raster 2

With your MAGIC WAND ... same settings... select the area shown below



SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> EXPAND = 2

Activate Raster 1

EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT

Activate Raster 2

With your MAGIC WAND ... same settings... select the area shown below



Activate Raster 1

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL



ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

DESELECT



Activate Raster 2
With your MAGIC WAND ... same settings... select the area shown below



Activate Raster 1
EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL



DESELECT

Activate Raster 2
With your MAGIC WAND ... same settings... select the area shown below



SELECTIONS >>> INVERT

LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

Flood fill with WHITE

EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE EFFECTS >>> BLINDS
COLOUR = ( #8EBD8B )



On your LAYER PALETTE...
Reduce the OPACITY to 50% and Change the Blend Mode to DIFFERENCE



ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> MOVE DOWN

SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> EXPAND = 3
SELECTIONS >>> INVERT

LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER
LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> MOVE DOWN



EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW



LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE

DO NOT DESELECT

Save as .psp image

LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER
LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> MOVE DOWN
SELECTIONS >>> INVERT

Open the " 3229-30158.jpg " image in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Go to your frame image
Right click on the Title Bar
and select PASTE INTO SELECTION from the options.

PSP8/9: ADJUST >>> Brightness & Contrast >>> Gamma Correction



PSPX:- ADJUST >>> Brightness & Contrast >>> Histogram Adjustment



LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE
DESELECT



I decided to add an extra border on to edge of the frame....

LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 3
SELECTIONS >>> INVERT

Flood fill with " KaraBGSilver1-PreviewGrad.jpg " pattern

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 80
Blur = 0

Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1
Click OK

DESELECT

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE ALL (Flatten)

Save as .jpg image
