canvas3_DAR.bmp
Save to your PSP Textures folder
JF_SOgirl.psp
JF_SOboy.psp
admiration.jpg
Save to a folder on your computer

SAVE OFTEN .. you never know when PSP will 'hiccup'!
Open up the "admiration.jpg" image in your PSP workspace
WINDOW >>> DUPLICATE
Close the original Image
LAYERS >>> Promote backgroundLayer
EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE
ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN
LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER
Flood fill with WHITE
In your LAYER PALETTE...Change BLEND MODE to SOFT LIGHT
and OPACITY to 58%
LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE
Open a new image 600 x 400 ...
Transparent background
Right click on the Title Bar of your image and select COPY from the options
Go to your 600 x 400 BLANK image ...
Right click on the Title Bar
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.
With your MAGIC WAND
Mode = Replace
Match Mode = RGB Value
Tolerance = 0
Feather = 0
Antialias = UNchecked
Sample Merged = UNCHECKED
PSP9 USERS: CHECK CONTIGUOUS
Select the OUTER transparent area
LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER
LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> MOVE DOWN
SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 3
SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Flood fill with GOLD
SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> EXPAND = 6
SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT
EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 50
Blur = 0
Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1
Click OK
With your MAGIC WAND ... same settings
Select the OUTER transparent area
LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER
SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 3
SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Flood fill with BLUE ( #707FB4 )
SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> EXPAND = 12
SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 50
Blur = 0
Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1
Click OK
EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT
Activate RASTER 3
LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> MOVE UP
Activate RASTER 4
With your MAGIC WAND ...
Same settings
Select the CENTRE of your image
LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER
SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW
LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> BRING TO TOP
DESELECT
CLOSE RASTER 1
LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE
Select your DEFORMATION tool
Using your SHIFT key move the top left node to the right.
(Note the position on the ruler in the example)
Repeat this with the top right node... moving it to the LEFT
Without using the SHIFT key... drag the top centre node downwards
to the 110 pixel (from the top) mark
LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER
Open the "JF_SOboy.psp" tube and
Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options
Go to your frame image ...
Right click on the Title Bar
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.
Reposition as shown below.
(so that the boy in the image below is hidden)
EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW
Same settings
LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER
Open the "JF_SOgirl.psp" tube and
Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options
Go to your frame image ... Right click on the Title Bar
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.
Reposition as shown below.
(so that the girl in the image below is hidden)
EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW
Same settings
Activate the MERGED LAYER
EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW
Same settings
LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE
OPEN & ACTIVATE RASTER 1
Flood fill with Blue (
#707FB4 )
(Or whatever colour you intend for your web page)
IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 80%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is CHECKED
LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE ALL (Flatten)
Save as a ,jpg file
This is the result with a white background
