Click link... then....
Right click and Save Image As to a folder on your computer

"OvalMask.psp"

Right click and Save Image As to a folder on your computer

SAVE OFTEN .. you never know when PSP will 'hiccup'!


Open a new image 450 x 450
Transparent background

SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL

Open up the "OvalMask" in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Go to your frame image
Right click on the Title Bar
and select PASTE INTO SELECTION from the options.

DESELECT

With your MAGIC WAND
Mode = Replace
Match Mode = RGB Value
Tolerance = 95
Feather = 0
Antialias = UNchecked
Sample Merged = UNCHECKED
PSP9 USERS: CHECK CONTIGUOUS

Select the MAIN BLACK area
LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER
and flood fill with RED #B82C21

EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE EFFECTS >>> BLINDS
COLOUR = #571411



Repeat BLINDS effect but this time check 'Horizontal'

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL
COLOUR = #FFEDCF



Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options
Right click on the Title Bar and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options
DESELECT

EFFECTS >>> DISTORTION EFFECTS >>> POLAR COORDINATES
Select "Polar to Rectangular"

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL



REPEAT INNER BEVEL




Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click in your workspace
and select PASTE AS NEW IMAGE from the options.


On your frame image use your MOVER tool to drag the distorted image
beneath the 'oval' as shown below.



LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE
IMAGE >>> FLIP

Right click on the Title Bar of the distorted image you created in your workspace
and select COPY from the options

Go to your frame image... Right click on the Title Bar
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

IMAGE >>> ROTATE >>> FREE ROTATE = Right 90
Ensure "All layers" is UNCHECKED

Use your MOVER tool to drag the distorted image to the left as shown below



LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE
IMAGE >>> MIRROR

Close Raster 1
LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE


IMAGE >>> RESIZE
Ensure "Resize all layers" is CHECKED



(The reason for the 'resize' is to get the 'checked' effect)



LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

Open up the "c&s_b383.psp" tube in your PSP workspace
Select Layer 9

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Go to your frame image
Right click on the Title Bar
and select PASTE AS NEW SELECTION from the options.

Position the image in to top left corner of your frame
DESELECT



EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> SIMPLE >>> TOP LEFT MIRROR




LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE

SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 2
SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Flood fill with Gold

EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 100
Blur = 0

Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1
Click OK

DESELECT



With your MAGIC WAND
Mode = Replace
Match Mode = RGB Value
Tolerance = 95
Feather = 0
Antialias = UNchecked
Sample Merged = UNCHECKED
PSP9 USERS: CHECK CONTIGUOUS

Select the CENTRE transparent area

LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER
LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> MOVE DOWN

SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> EXPAND = 10
Flood fill with Gold

SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 14
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> FEATHER = 3
EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT



LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE

(You can save the frame at this point as a .psp image if you wish to re-use it)

LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> MOVE DOWN
Flood fill with BLACK

Open up the "JR_mirkovich-piano-girl-in-blue" in your PSP workspace
Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Go to your frame image ... Right click on the Title Bar
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 60%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Position as shown




ADJUST >>> BRIGHTNESS and CONTRAST >>> BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST



Highlight the bottom Merged Layer



With your MAGIC WAND
Mode = Replace
Match Mode = RGB Value
Tolerance = 0
Feather = 0
Antialias = UNchecked
Sample Merged = UNCHECKED
PSP9/X USERS: CHECK CONTIGUOUS

Select the transparent centre of the image
SELECTIONS >>> INVERT

EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>> DROP SHADOW



LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE ALL (Flatten)

Save image as a .GIF image so that the effects are not distorted.
