You will need the following to complete this tutorial

Materials: HERE

Extract goldfill1.bmp" and " lace4.bmp to your PSP Patterns folder
Extract "tbtmisthatladyjy.psp" to a folder on your computer.
Extract "DesignerFramesTwo.ttf" to your Fonts folder

Set up your background and foreground as shown below.
GOLD = Foreground
Lace = Background

..


Open a new image 404 x 500
Transparent background

NULL "Lace" Background

Select your TEXT tool
Font = Designer Frames Two
Select lower case ' j '



Position your cursor at 210 pixels across, 466 pixels down and click.
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 2

Select your AIRBRUSH tool




Airbrush the selected area..
EFFECTS >>> EDGE EFFECTS >>> ENHANCE MORE
EDIT >>> Repeat "Enhance Edges More"
DESELECT

EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Vertical = 1
Horizontal = - (Minus) 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 60
Blur = 0

ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN
(I added a white background for this example only)



With your MAGIC WAND
Mode = Replace
Match Mode = RGB Value
Tolerance = 0
Feather = 0
Antialias = Checked
Sample Merged = UNCHECKED
PSP9 USERS: CHECK CONTIGUOUS

Select the OUTER transparent area
Flood fill with PINK ( #EED2D2 )

SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 6
EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT


With your MAGIC WAND.. select both pink borders
EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL



EDIT >>> Repeat Inner Bevel
DESELECT

With your MAGIC WAND ... Select the OUTER transparent area



LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER
Flood fill with Gold
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 4
EDIT >>> CLEAR


EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Vertical = - (Minus) 1
Horizontal = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 60
Blur = 0

LAYERS >>> ARRANGE >>> MOVE DOWN



Flood fill with "Lace" pattern.
EFFECTS >>> EDGE EFFECTS >>> ENHANCE MORE
EDIT >>> Repeat "Enhance Edges More"
ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 4
EDIT >>> CLEAR

EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Vertical = 1
Horizontal = - (Minus) 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 60
Blur = 0


Flood fill with PINK
EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL



EDIT >>> Repeat Inner Bevel

EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 60
Blur = 0

Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1
Click OK

DESELECT

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE
SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 5
SELECTIONS >>> INVERT

EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 60
Blur = 0

Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1
Click OK

DESELECT

Save as a .psp image

You can now insert your own 'picture' *S*
