You will need the
following to complete this tutorial
XF2 Materials:

EYE CANDY3

top of page >> Filters)
Download and extract to your
PSP Plugins Folder.
********************************
Open up the 'x2bgd' and 'gold2' patterns
in your PSP workspace
Go to your COLOUR PALETTE
Load the 'x2bgd' in your foreground
Scale = 100
Angle = 0
Load the 'gold2' in your background
Scale = 100
Angle = 45
Open a new image 450 x 350
Transparent background
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW
RASTER LAYER
Flood fill with the red foreground
pattern
Go to SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> CONTRACT = 20
Go to EDIT CLEAR
DESELECT
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS
>>> INNER BEVEL
COLOUR = PINK ( #FFEFF1 )
With your MAGIC WAND
Match Mode = RGB Value
Tolerance = 0
Feather = 0
Sample Merged = UNCHECKED
Select the transparent centre of your
image
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW
RASTER LAYER
Flood fill with the gold pattern
Go to EFFECTS >>> EDGE
>>> ENHANCE
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> CONTRACT = 4
Go to EDIT CLEAR
Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Close Layer 1
Go to LAYERS >>> MERGE
>>> MERGE VISIBLE
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW
RASTER LAYER
Flood fill with SOLID RED ( #FF0808 )
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> CONTRACT = 12
Go to EDIT CLEAR
DESELECT
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS
>>> INNER BEVEL
Same settings EXCEPT change the colour to
Dark Red ( #BD0D0D )
With your MAGIC WAND
Select the transparent centre of your
image
Flood fill with the gold pattern
Go to EFFECTS >>> EDGE
>>> ENHANCE
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> CONTRACT = 4
Go to EDIT CLEAR
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW
RASTER LAYER
Flood fill with SOLID RED ( #FF0808 )
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> CONTRACT = 8
Go to EDIT CLEAR
DESELECT
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS
>>> INNER BEVEL
Same settings
With your MAGIC WAND
Select the transparent centre of your
image
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER
LAYER
Flood fill with the gold pattern
Go to EFFECTS >>> EDGE
>>> ENHANCE
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> CONTRACT = 4
Go to EDIT CLEAR
Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Close layers as shown and highlight Layer
4
Go to LAYERS >>> MERGE
>>> MERGE VISIBLE
Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Close the MERGED layer and highlight
"Copy of Layer 4"
Go to EFFECTS >>> GEOMETRIC
EFFECTS >> PERSPECTIVE VERTICAL
Go to LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE
Go to IMAGE >>> FLIP
Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Open all layers except Layer 1
Go to LAYERS >>> MERGE
>>> MERGE VISIBLE
With your MAGIC WAND
Select the areas shown below AND the
CENTRE transparent area
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS
>>> EYE CANDY 3 >>>
DROP SHADOW
DESELECT
Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Highlight Layer 1 to open and activate.
Save your image as a .psp
file
Flood fill Layer 1 with White
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW
RASTER LAYER
Choose whatever image you wish to use...
right click on the title bar and select
COPY from the options
Go to your frame image
Right click on the Title Bar
and select PASTE AS NEW SELECTION from
the options.
Adjust and resize if necessary
Go to LAYERS >>> MERGE
>>> MERGE ALL (Flatten)
Save as a .jpg image
