your computer

(25.8kb)
(Ignore the 'D_gold
fold.bmp' This is used in the PSP7 version of ths tut)
Extract
'ita_gradient037.jgd' to
your PSP Gradients folder.

Load your 'ita_gradient037' gradient in
your MATERIALS PALETTE background
Open a new image 400 x 400
Transparent background
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW
RASTER LAYER
Flood fill with 'ita_gradient037'
EFFECTS >>> GEOMETRIC
EFFECTS >>> CIRCLE
Edge Mode = REPEAT
REPEAT Circle Effect
EFFECTS >>> DISTORTION
EFFECTS >>> POLAR COORDINATES
IMAGE >>> ROTATE
>>> FREE ROTATE = Left 90
IMAGE >>> ROTATE
>>> FREE ROTATE = Left 45
(All Layers = UNchecked in both instances)
LAYERS >>> NEW
RASTER LAYER
LAYERS >>>
ARRANGE >>> MOVE DOWN
Flood fill with gradient
Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Highlight Raster 2
IMAGE RESIZE = 125%
Resize All Layers = UNchecked
Choose your SELECTION TOOL
Position your cursor 100 pixels from the
left and 300 pixels down
Draw a semi circle as shown below
(Drag circle to these end co-ordinates)
EDIT CLEAR
Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Highlight Raster 3
SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
EDIT CLEAR
SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> CONTRACT = 6
EDIT CLEAR
DESELECT
With your MAGIC WAND
Select the curved border
EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS
>>> INNER BEVEL
COLOUR = ( #D49674 )
DESELECT
With your MAGIC WAND
Tolerance = 0
PSP9 USERS: CHECK CONTIGUOUS
Select the transparent area
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> EXPAND = 2
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS
>>> EYE CANDY 3 >>>
DROP SHADOW
DESELECT
IMAGE >>> CANVAS SIZE
Go to SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> CONTRACT = 10
SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Highlight Raster 2
EDIT CLEAR
LAYERS >>> NEW
RASTER LAYER
On your COLOUR PALETTE change the
settings for the 'ita_gradient037'
gradient
Flood fill the transparent border
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> EXPAND = 6
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects
>>> Drop Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 100
Blur = 0
Repeat Drop Shadow
effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - (
minus ) 1
Click OK
SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> CONTRACT = 6
SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
REPEAT Drop Shadows
EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS
>>> INNER BEVEL
DESELECT
Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Highlight Raster 2
LAYERS >>> NEW
RASTER LAYER
Open up your Corners tube
Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Click on Layer 6 to activate
Right Click on the Title Bar and select
COPY from the options
Right click on the Title Bar of your
Frame image and
select PASTE AS NEW SELECTION from the
options.
Position as shown below
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> CONTRACT = 2
Go to EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS
>>> EYE CANDY 3 >>>
DROP SHADOW
Same settings EXCEPT change Opacity to
50%
Click OK
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS
>>> INNER BEVEL
DESELECT
LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE
IMAGE >>> MIRROR
LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE
IMAGE >>> FLIP
Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Close layers indicated below
LAYERS >>> MERGE
>>> MERGE VISIBLE
Open all layers
Highlight Raster 3
With your MAGIC WAND
Match Mode = RGB Value
Tolerance = 0
Feather = 0
PSP9 USERS: CHECK CONTIGUOUS
Select the transparent area and depress
your SHIFT key so that
you can also select the 'shadowed' area.
SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Flood fill with the gradient
DESELECT
Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Close Raster 1
LAYERS >>> MERGE
>>> MERGE VISIBLE
Go to your LAYER PALETTE .. OPEN &
highlight Raster 1 to activate
LAYERS >>> NEW
RASTER LAYER
Flood fill with solid PINK ( #FFEFF1 )
Right click on the Title Bar of the
'mistedrosetemp' and select COPY from the
options
Right click on the Title Bar of your
frame image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the
options.
Reposition with your MOVER tool so the
rose is visible
Right click on the Title Bar of the 'girl
in hat' and select COPY from the options
Right click on the Title Bar of your
frame image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the
options.
Go to IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 45%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is
UNCHECKED
Reposition with your MOVER tool
Go to EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS
>>> EYE CANDY 3 >>>
DROP SHADOW
DIRECTION = 325
DISTANCE = 7
BLUR = 15
OPACITY = 60%
Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Reduce the Opacity on Raster 4 to 70%
Go to LAYERS >>> MERGE
>>> MERGE ALL (Flatten)
Save your image.. and you're done *S*
