You will
need the following to complete this
tutorial
HFmaterials ZIP download
"ships", "corner
tube" and "framebase"
Extract to a folder
on your computer
"lynd04-033.jgd" gradient
Download and extract
to your PSP Gradients folder.
"jb-s063_gold.bmp" Pattern
Download and extract
to your PSP Patterns folder.
Simple Filters
Download and extract
to your PSP Plugins folder.

Go to your COLOUR PALETTE and load the
"lynd04-033.jgd" gradient
as your background using these settings

Click OK
Load the "jb-s063_gold.bmp"
PATTERN in your foreground
using these settings.

Click OK
Open up the "ships",
"corner tube" and
"framebase" in your PSP
workspace.
Minimize the "ships" image and
"corner tube"
Click on the "framebase" to
activate
Go to WINDOW >>> DUPLICATE
Close the original image
Using your duplicated 'framebase"
image
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW
RASTER LAYER
Go to LAYERS >>>
ARRANGE >>> SEND TO BOTTOM
Go to your LAYER PALETTE and close the
MERGED LAYER
Make sure Layer 1 is highlighted

Flood fill Layer 1 with the gradient
Go to EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE
EFFECTS >>> BLINDS
Use these settings

Click OK
Go to your LAYER PALETTE and close the
Layer 1
OPEN and Highlight the MERGED LAYER to
activate
Select your MAGIC WAND and using these
settings

and holding down your SHIFT KEY select
the areas shown below.
(You will have to ZOOM in to do this)

Floodfill with the foreground gold
pattern
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS
>>> INNER BEVEL
Use these settings

Click OK
DESELECT
Select your MAGIC WAND, using the same
settings
and holding down your SHIFT KEY select
the areas shown below.

Floodfill with the background gradient
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS
>>> INNER BEVEL
Use the same settings
Click OK
Go to EDIT >>> Repeat Inner
Bevel
Go to EDIT >>> Repeat Inner
Bevel
DESELECT

Select your MAGIC WAND, using the same
settings
select the centre transparent area.
Maximise your "ships" image
Right click on the Title Bar and select
COPY from the options
Go to your frame image Right click on the
Title Bar
and select PASTE INTO SELECTION from the
options.
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects
>>> Drop Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 6
Colour = Black
Opacity = 75
Blur = 9.9
Repeat Drop
Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - (
minus ) 6
Click OK
DESELECT
Go to your LAYER PALETTE
OPEN and highlight Raster 1
Go to LAYERS >>> MERGE
>>> MERGE VISIBLE
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW
RASTER LAYER
Maximise you "corner" tube
Right click on the Title Bar and select
COPY from the options
Go to your frame image Right click on the
Title Bar
and select PASTE AS NEW SELECTION from
the options.
Go to IMAGE RESIZE = 62%
Make sure 'Resize all layers" is
UNchecked
Reposition the corner as shown below so
that the "square is sitting
in the corner top right of the top 'bar'
....
DESELECT
Go to EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS
>>> SIMPLE FILTERS >>>
TOP LEFT MIRROR
Your "corner" will now be in
all 4 corners of your image
Go to LAYERS >>> MERGE
>>> MERGE ALL (Flatten)
Go to IMAGE >>> ADD BORDERS = 3
COLOUR = BLACK
With your MAGIC WAND select the BLACK
border
and floodfill with the gold pattern
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects
>>> Drop Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 75
Blur = 0
Repeat Drop
Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - (
minus ) 1
Click OK
DESELECT
Go to IMAGE >>> ADD BORDERS = 3
COLOUR = BLACK
With your MAGIC WAND select the BLACK
border
and floodfill with the gold pattern
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects
>>> Drop Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 75
Blur = 0
Repeat Drop
Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - (
minus ) 1
Click OK
DESELECT
Save your image as a .jpg file
and you're finished.
