You will need the
following to complete this tutorial
Flamingo Materials:
HERE
Download and extract "jb-s063_gold.bmp" to
your PSP Patterns folder.
Extract OTHER IMAGES to a folder on your
computer
EYE CANDY3
Download and
extract ( from one of these sites ) to
your PSP Plugins Folder.

In your COLOUR PALETTE
Load Mauve ( #C8C8E5 ) into your
background
Load 'jb-s063_gold' PATTERN
into your foreground
SCALE = 100
ANGLE = 0
Open a new image 400 x 400
Transparent background
Open up the 'JF_C_Frame' in your
workspace
Right click on the Title Bar and select
COPY from the options
Go to your frame image .... Right click
on the Title Bar
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the
options.
With your MAGIC WAND
Match Mode = RGB Value
Tolerance = 0
Feather = 0
Sample Merged = UNCHECKED
Select the OUTER transparent area
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> EXPAND = 2
LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER
Flood fill with MAUVE
Go to LAYERS >>> ARRANGE
>>> MOVE DOWN
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> CONTRACT = 25
Go to EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE
EFFECTS >>> BLINDS
COLOUR = ( #A0A2FE )
REPEAT Blinds effect... UNcheck
'Horizontal'
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS
>>> INNER BEVEL
COLOUR = ( #C8C8E5 )
Go to EFFECTS >>> EDGE
>>> ENHANCE
Go to EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS
>>> EYE CANDY 3 >>>
DROP SHADOW
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW
RASTER LAYER
Flood fill with the GOLD pattern
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> CONTRACT = 2
Go to EDIT >>> CLEAR
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to EFFECTS
>>> 3D Effects >>> Drop
Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 100
Blur = 0
Repeat Drop Shadow
effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - (
minus ) 1
Click OK
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW
RASTER LAYER
Go to SELECTIONS >>>
INVERT
Flood fill with the GOLD pattern
Go to EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE
EFFECTS >>> BLINDS
COLOUR = ( #A0A2FE )
REPEAT Blinds effect... UNcheck
'Horizontal'
Go to EFFECTS >>> SHARPEN
>>> SHARPEN
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS
>>> INNER BEVEL
Same settings
DESELECT
On your LAYER PALETTE activate LAYER 2
With your MAGIC WAND
Select the area outside the centre
circular frame
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> CONTRACT = 2
On your LAYER PALETTE activate LAYER 5
Go to EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT
On your LAYER PALETTE activate LAYER 2
With your MAGIC WAND
Select the area outside the centre
circular frame
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> CONTRACT = 2
Go to EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS
>>> EYE CANDY 3 >>>
DROP SHADOW
Same settings
REPEAT Drop Shadow.. change DIRECTION to
130
DESELECT
On your LAYER PALETTE ... CLOSE LAYER 1
Go to LAYERS >>> MERGE
>>> MERGE VISIBLE
Go to IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 95%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is
UNCHECKED
With your MAGIC WAND
Select the OUTER transparent area
Flood fill with MAUVE
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects
>>> Drop Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 100
Blur = 0
Repeat Drop Shadow
effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - (
minus ) 1
Click OK
DESELECT
Go to SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> CONTRACT = 7
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Flood fill with the GOLD pattern
REPEAT both Drop Shadows
DESELECT
Go to SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> CONTRACT = 4
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to EDIT >>> CLEAR
Flood fill with MAUVE
Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS
>>> INNER BEVEL
Same settings
Go to EDIT >>> Repeat Inner
Bevel
REPEAT both Drop Shadows
DESELECT
Go to SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> CONTRACT = 2
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to EDIT >>> CLEAR
Flood fill with the GOLD pattern
REPEAT both Drop Shadows
DESELECT
Go to LAYERS >>> NEW
RASTER LAYER
Double click your SELECTION TOOL and
enter these co-ordinates
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Flood fill with the GOLD pattern
Go to EFFECTS
>>> 3D Effects >>> Drop
Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 100
Blur = 0
Repeat Drop Shadow
effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - (
minus ) 1
Click OK
DESELECT
Go to SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> CONTRACT = 27
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
REPEAT both Drop Shadows
Go to EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT
Go to LAYERS >>> MERGE
>>> MERGE VISIBLE
With your MAGIC WAND
Select the transparent centre area
On your LAYER PALETTE ... OPEN &
ACTIVATE LAYER 1
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY
>>> EXPAND = 4
Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT
Go to EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS
>>> EYE CANDY 3 >>>
DROP SHADOW
DESELECT
Save as a .psp image for
future use if you wish.
Go to WINDOW >>> DUPLICATED
Open up the Flamingoes image
Right click on the Title Bar and select
COPY from the options
Go to your frame image ... Right click on
the Title Bar
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the
options.
Go to LAYERS >>> ARRANGE
>>> MOVE DOWN
Go to IMAGE >>> RESIZE = 75%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is
UNCHECKED
Go to LAYERS >>> MERGE
>>> MERGE ALL (Flatten)
Save as a .jpg file
