You will need the following to complete this tutorial

The 'jb-s063_gold' Pattern
Download and extract to your PSP Patterns folder.
The "13.psp" and "15.psp" tubes
and the larger version of the DREAM image below
which you can download HERE
Extract the tubes and DREAM image to a folder on your computer

(If you use your own image... resize it to 450 wide x 325 high)

Don't forget to save on a regular basis.

Open up your
"13.psp" and "15.psp" tubes
in your PSP workspace and minimise

Open up your DREAM image in PSP
Go to WINDOW >>> DUPLICATE

Close original image

With your duplicated image active
Go to IMAGE >>> RESIZE
WIDTH = 450
HEIGHT = 325
RESIZE TYPE = Bicubic resample
Resize All Layers = CHECKED
Maintain Aspect Ratio of = CHECKED




Go to LAYERS >>> Promote to Layer

Go to your COLOUR PALETTE
Load solid BROWN ( #A18A65 )
In your Foreground box
and
the 'jb-s063_gold' Pattern in your Background box.
ANGLE = 0
SCALE = 100
OR
You can change the SCALE to = 50% if you wish

Go to LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

Go to SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 2

Maximise your "13.psp" tube
Right click on the Title bar and
and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title bar of the DREAM image and
select PASTE INTO SELECTION from the options.



Flood fill with the GOLD pattern

Go to EFFECTS >>> SHARPEN >>> SHARPEN
DESELECT

With your MAGIC WAND
Match Mode = RGB Value
Tolerance = 0
Feather = 0
Sample Merged = UNCHECKED

Select the centre area shown below



Go to LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER
Go to SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 3



Maximise your "15.psp" tube
Right click on the Title bar and
and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title bar of the DREAM image and
select PASTE INTO SELECTION from the options.



Flood fill selected black area with the GOLD pattern

Go to EFFECTS >>> SHARPEN >>> SHARPEN
DESELECT

Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Close Layer 1

Go to LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE


With your MAGIC WAND
Match Mode = RGB Value
Tolerance = 0
Feather = 0
Sample Merged = UNCHECKED

Select the transparent areas shown below



Go to your LAYER PALETTE
Open and highlight Layer 1 to activate

Go to EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE EFFECTS >>> BLINDS
Use these settings
COLOUR = BROWN ( #A18A65 )



Click OK

Go to SELECTIONS >>> INVERT

Go to EFFECTS >>> 3D Effects >>> Drop Shadow
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 60
Blur = 4.9

Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1
Click OK

DESELECT
